Take it to Nokia care, I had the same issue.

Were they able to save your data? How much did it cost?

vcash,

Even though the phone doesn't get to the stage where it shows the UI - might be worth seeing if you can take a backup on Nokia's PC-Suite Software via USB cable.

That is wrong. Look at Nokia India page : Nokia India - Nokia 5230 - Specifications

Review of phone : Nokia 5230 review: Foot soldiers get smarter - GSMArena.com

I hv N97. I installed the latest firmware and after that it just screwed my mobile. It has so many bugs. For few contacts, contact name is not displayed in case of call from contact. It hangs when i get a call. When i connect to my bluetooth music system in the car, first call gets connected but in next call i cant hear the other person. I then need to restart my phone.

There are many more issues after installing this firmware. I tried to reinstall the software but no use.

Need help!

Need a dual sim phone. Had a look at the videocon range and i think they look good! Has anyone used them on this forum before? Please provide your feedback.

Guys, I need a simplest of simple phone. My only usage would be calls and SMS's. I already have a official BB Javelin and I need this second phone for personal usage. Budget < 7K. Plz help.

TIA.

Just got back from Nokia care - They say that this is not a software issue and some hardware componenet that needs looking into. They can't do a reset either. I find this strange since, the phone does turn on, just doesnt boot up.

Anyway - They want 3700 buck to fix which is frankly a rip off. So what are my options - The local mobile repair wallah or some other method of revival - I need my E71 to browse T-Bhp on the move! Help Please!

Local mobile repair is the best option. There are aftermarket replacements for pretty much every component. Those would be cheaper.

Hi Guy,
I plan to buy a new iphone 3GS and thus tried to look around on web including tean bhp for the updates but couldnt find any. Some websites on internet announced the launch date to be 9 august 2009 but there is no update since then.

iphone India, airtel or vodafone websites also have no updates on the same. The iphone website shows a comming soon tag along with the 3gs.

Just want to enquire if the new model has been launched or not. If not, then is there any update when exactly is it going to be launched.

I would appreciate your help!

Gaurav

Darwin Award of the weekend to go to me.

I went to a Mobile Wallah and he said Rs. 850 to fix software issue but it would take him a few days. I told him that was too long.

Went next door to another guy - He takes out my memory card and the phone magically springs to life. Turn out that the memory card got corrput and needs to be reformatted. He charged zip for this.

The only negative thing is that in my frantic fervor, the hard reset I had performed with the call button, * & 3 worked and my data has got wiped off. But atleast the phone is working so problem solved for now.
