Hey guys,
Looking for an Android phone around 5K for a relative.

I personally use Asus Zenfone 4. The only problems I face are, heating with continuous use of navigation and battery life. Thought of recommending it since the person won't use it for prolonged periods and the above 2 issues won't matter much to him.

I started looking at other decent options as well,

Android one was the only alternative. But 4GB internal memory was the deal breaker.

Looked at Moto E as well(1st gen, even though out of budget). Lack of front facing camera was the deal breaker.

Any new good android phones coming soon around 5K? Requirements - Decent performance, 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal Storage, Front Camera.

Thanks.

Sorry didn't notice that. The Samsung E7 should be à close enough fit for your needs.

Hello all, I need a backup phone with the main requirements being
1. Great battery life
2. Whatsapp
3. Preferably no touchscreen
Max budget 2.5k
I was looking at Nokia 225 but I was told that whatsapp has stopped working on non touchscreen phones. Is that true?
I am currently using Note 4 N910g as my primary device.

Grab it before the price increase or out of stock.

Hi Folks
Am looking for a replacement for my LG G2, as I see distortions on the screen. A bit confused as being used to the HTC 1X before and G2 now can't seem to decide. Any suggestions please. Thanks.

If your budget is over the 30k mark, check out the Moto turbo available through Flipkart. It has one of the best hardware available in india phone market as on date and has a mammoth battery which will last two days on average use. Additionally they are offering some discount on use of specific credit cards. Sub 30k range, do check the newly launched HTC 826 & the Moto X (2nd gen).

Hi
Thanks for your response. In fact was wondering if anyone does look into this thread, or is it that an old man would have no response. Well, I was forced into a distress purchase as my G2 started shivering like it was in the poles. Picked up a 1+1 and hey an having some issues. The screen goes off after opening automatically. Have tinkered with the settings but it seems to be problem still as it yet again went into slumber whilst typing. Oh bloody, am tired, does it pass on to the phone??

This appears to be one issue that a lot of 1+1 owners are facing. Try doing a factory reset avas if that doesn't work, better visit the service centre where they have even offered motherboard change in similar cases.

Try OTA ROM update to CM12. It may possibly resolve this issue.

I looking for a good all rounder smart phone with lollipop, under 10K.

The priorities would be rich and clear fast, memory, good display, good battery life and preferably "unbreakable"..

Any suggestions, I intend to buy in the 2nd half of June, so anything that releases around that time is also fine.

As on date Moto G2 @ 10990 fits your bill perfectly. As far as the"unbreakable" part is concerned, u can always use the armour cases that are available around Rs 300 on ebay. These provide a decent enough shield. Any other chinese manufactured product may offer you earth shattering low prices but the build quality and longevity are always questionable.

Thanks guys, the reviews are good. How does the Asus Zenofone 2 compare to Moto G? I know its higher than my budget, but noticed it uses atom processor.

With regards to the "unbreakable" part, my son (1year old) loves to test everything by throwing it down on the floor, or from the 1st floor balcony!!:)
