I'd suggest the Xiaomi Mi4 64 gb or one plus one. Have 3 Mi's in the family, redmi 1, redmi note & Mi3 and all three work extremely well without any lag or slowdown even after 10 months of usage unlike my own S3.
Camera sure is a big plus on MI4. Have not used one plus one but have heard good reviews from friends using it.
Cheers

Priorities - - Has to be an Android
- Good camera
- Decent memory space
Her usage is simple - phone calls, whatsapp and the likes. A good front camera will be a bonus (for selfies!) but not a necessity.

HTC desire 826 should fit your requirement's

Samsung Galaxy S4 is available for 16.5k now at Amazon. For that money, it's a steal. Even the good old Nexus 5 will be a good option. Also take a look at the Moto X 2nd Gen.

If you want a big awesome screen with good cameras (read: selfies) considering its your fiancee, look no further than HTC 826 @21k around.
Nothing can beat the build quality that HTC offers.
If you want a pure android experience with quick updates, go for Moto X 2nd gen. The only flip side is that it doesn't have 4g.

Samsung, with its bloatwares, is a trap to get into. They will lure you with awesome specs on the phone only to be downplayed with freakishly sluggish software aka Touchwiz. There is even possibility one will vow never to use android itself after the pathetic experience with samsung.
N5 is a great phone to have and i say it by experience of owning it over 1.5 yrs with almost no complaints. The only issues are with network connectivity in low reception areas, where it fails to cling onto any signal and lack of traditional radio.
Moto X 2nd gen is the best of the three with premium build quality and supremely awesome reception. Camera quality is not great but manageable. ANother issue is that it also lacks the traditional radio like the N5

The Samsung Galaxy A5 is the best for your purpose. It has great build quality, very good cameras, 16gb+Expandable, 2gb RAM, 4G LTE and most importantly excellent build quality and perfect size. Only Negative a Snapdragon 410 chip set so it's not the best for gaming.
If 4g and front camera is not a priority then s5 is a good buy. Don't go for one plus one it might be too big for your fiancée.

What?? Those are almost 6-7 year old phones. Are they giving them away for free? I doubt those phones would be in proper working condition.
You'd be better off with some cheap feature phone that has been launched recently. |
I am interested in flip phone only :). These models after reading reviews were found to be decent. Moreover no flip phones in india are there as of today.
They are available in amazon us but dont ship to india :(
Thank you for the input friends.

Thank you. Had never considered the Mi4.
Which do you think has a better cam - Mi4 or OnePlus One?

I read some reviews for the 826. Seems that the camera performance is sub par.
Also, there is a lot of complaints regarding battery life and the phone heating up.

4G is needed, so Moto X is out.
Isn't S4 and N5 outdated now?

As mentioned above, I have heard some complaints regarding poor battery life and the phone heating up. Has that been rectified?

Do you think this would be a better choice than the OnePlus One and Mi4?

If you think you can extend your budget to somewhere about 32k, then get the Xperia Z3 Compact eyes closed.
It blows the socks off every other Android out there, and is the only worthy competitor to the mighty iPhone 6.
Read the reviews online. It's an engineering marvel, considering the specs Sony has managed to put into a phone of that compact size.

For the form factor I definitely will. The mi4 does not have 4g supported in India only the polycarbonate mi4i ( only 16gb) is available. A female friend got the same after weeks of discussion as the one plus was too big for her looking. She fell for the 6.7mm thick metal bodied A5. Do give it a look.

Battery life and heating were issues with the initial lollipop release where the system calibrations of battery take some time to settle with the ART runtime. this generally does disappear within a few days of rigorous use of the phone. Even the N5, N6 faced this issue with the Lollipop release.
As per my knowledge camera performance is also better than most other phones in that price range.
Hi all,
Am in look out for a good and reliable CDMA handset which is falling under 15K budget. As everybody knows the CDMA handsets are getting extinct from open hand sets. My previous favorites are Samsung and Micromax but both didn't last few months more than their warranty period. Samsung doesn't have any CDMA handsets anymore and MMX also follows the same pattern. My last phone MMX (AE90) was with me for a few months and it went off all of a sudden and now MMX offers a replacement but not a CDMA :Shockked: I had send an email to MMX stating that the GSM replacement will be pointless as I can’t use with my CDMA connection, for which am yet to get a reply from them.
So can anybody guide me to get a decent CDMA handset in the above budget (15K)? I can't think of my MTS connection to port to GSM network as the rates are so cheap than any other network. Google says almost all reputed brands are backing off from CDMA handsets due to the huge CDMA-GSM migration rates. Very few like HTC, ZTE still out in the market but they are also no exception with Samy and MMX when it comes to customer satisfaction. I have zeroed my choice MTS Blaze 5.0 but there also satisfaction rates are poor. Anybody using open handsets here, if so please share your feedback.
I couldn't find any specific thread for this hence posting it here.
Thanks in advance.

if you want a high end flip phone, Samsung Galaxy Golden is a good buy albeit you have to do with the crappy Touchwiz. It is available on amazon US and they also ship to India.

I don't have any personal experience with it. But have seen the reviews are consistently positive.
Please suggest a reliable & budget power-bank for android smartphone.
