Stay clear of the the S4, its a 2 year old phone and it won't get any updates.

Thanks.. Went with the S4 for him. He appears happy. Familiar zone given his shift from S2. Camera is far better than S2, so he's real happy.

Service considerations as pointed out was a driver in the decision.
I am not too sure the OPO camera is that much better. But I have also seen two units of OPO develop cracks after minor slips/falls. With gorilla glass 3? So that made me wary.

Trying to export Contacts list in my Lumia 730. Any apps or methods that exports the Contacts to a VCF or XLS file and store it in the phone itself?

I do not want to download apps that exports the contacts to their own servers or OneDrive! :Frustrati

Very satisfied with the Nexus 5, save for two issues, size & battery. Any worthy replacement on those two counts? I ideally would want a phone in 4.5" to 4.7" screen with better battery than Nexus 5, else on all other counts, the Nexus wins.

For someone looking at a budget phone, Nokia Lumia 630 single sim is available at Snapdeal for 4999/-

Hello all,

I need a very basic phone (as an emergency backup).

Don't need touch screen, or even wifi. Just basic telephony with a good battery life will do.

Would be better if its a Micro SIM compatible phone..

Any suggestions?

I haven't used the nano sim, but micro-sim is comaptiable on most budget phones. Have tried it on the basic Nokia & Samsung (Rs. 1000-1500)

At best, you might have to use the outer shell, but I did not have to use it. Am sure, most shops will let you try this.

Nokia 105 and Samsung Guru series (I don't remember the exact model) Both are available fore little mire than 1000 INR and offers a very good battery backup.
Regarding micro sim, micro-regular adapters are available in local shops and eBay (around 50~100 INR)

You can go to people.live.com and login using the outlook.com id. Once logged in, export to csv using the "Manage->Export for Outlook.com and other services option" Place in OneDrive and it will get syncd to your phone. You have the option to save to SD card while opening from OneDrive.

Thanks all for the valueable suggestions.

I bought Samsung Guru from a local store.

Here is the exact model, it supposedly has good battery backup and basic functionality:

Hey I could do with a little help here :)

I need an Android phone in the range of
15-20k, decent performance, camera and
good build quality. I don't prefer Samsung.
Any suggestions?

Also what about the Asus Zenfone 6? Any
idea when it's getting the lollipop upgrade?

I'm not very good at this so any help would
be welcome!
