re: iBhp - Think Different (Team-BHPians on a Mac)

Hi everyone,

Are you facing issues in connecting to wifi with Mountain Lion in the iMac? I always need to go into network preferences-> assist to connect to my wifi. Doesn't automatically give internet feed from the router even though the ip gets assigned. Don't face the problem in other comps/iphone so I guess the router is ok. Will appreciate if anyone has solutions to this problem.

No wifi issues for me in Mountain Lion. Everything has been working smoothly.

Hey guys, which is the best accounting software for Mac? After replacing my Windows system with a Macbook Pro, I need something like Tally for my office use.

Quickbooks http://quickbooks.intuit.com/mac/ would be the default Choice.

If you have used Gnucash in Linux, you can use the same in Mac too.
Its a freeware. (www.gnucash.org)

Thanks ampere and warwithwheels.

Let me give the freeware a shot first. If that doesnt work for me, I will consider the 200 USD investment to get quickbooks.

Apple announced a beautiful new 13" Retina Macbook Pro for $1699 as well as a super sexy, super thin new iMac which I believe is for $1299.

The new MacBook Pro looks absolutely amazing. Apple looks all set to sell a lot of these this holiday quarter. If I was in the market for a new MacBook today it'll be a very difficult choice between the 13" Air and this one.

re: iBhp - Think Different (Team-BHPians on a Mac)

These announcements (iMac, MBP 13", iPad mini) have pulled back Apple into full form (as if they weren't before).

But I'm glad this happened, because, I think Apple's best product line is still the Macintosh hardware and software lineup, which is also unfortunately underrated and lost in all this iPhone-iPad frenzy!

re: iBhp - Think Different (Team-BHPians on a Mac)

If I analyse the price range, the 21 inch Mac at 1299 seems to be thebest of the lot. Thanks to Retina display, Macbook pro lap tops are getting extremely expensive. (Starting 1699)
No doubt the display is to die for, but starting 85K+ its no more a VFM. The Mac Book Air in the 1000-1500$ range seem to be the best lap top option from that point of view.

Not to mention the mac mini starting at 600 being the most VFM offering.

That would be me! I need to decide between the base rMBP 13 and a 256GB MBA 13. Both are the same price (Thanks to a 15% discount through a friend who works at Apple here in the US) - So confused at the moment but I hope a trip to the store will clear things up.

re: iBhp - Think Different (Team-BHPians on a Mac)

I'm unable to delete data from flash drives/external hard disks attached to my Macbook Pro.When I move files to the trash bin,the free space on the external drives does not decrease and I'm ultimately forced to format the drive to regain the lost space.

Any suggestions ?
