Apple cover works as it is shown. I am happy customer for the Green PU magnetic cover.
After 10 months of rigorous use, and it was extreme. The cover works well. Got dirty, I cleaned and it was its happy self.
The warrior has some battle scars now, but functionally no issues.

I didn't consider Apple screen cover because I needed complete protection, not just screen. Considering my kids, it needs Kevlar suit. I am settling for leather cover for now. Leather has been used as battle armour for thousands of years.

Few days back, I got myself an iPad 3 32 GB ; 4G/Wifi model with Black leather smart cover. Apple surely make absolutely aspirational products. Reading Overdrive magazine and TOI & HT newspapers daily for free.:D
Previously I was actually paying for TopGear magazine(Still 6 months of subscription left), but now Overdrive has taken its place. Its a pleasure reading over iPad.
Another apps which I quite liked are:
1. GuidePal : Sort of a guide for each city
2. Shazam : Know any music being played near you
3. Wikipanion : Wikipedia
4. TOI : Times OF India newspaper
5. Maxis 2012 : All the info for the current F1 season, with all the data, facts, scores, standings, etc.
Best thing all of them are free. More features & apps to be explored in coming days.
I'm loving it.:D
Got my IP3 16 GB Wifi+Cellular on Saturday and completely hooked onto it. I am thinking now that i should have gone for the 32GB version. Any way to install the apps onto the cloud to save space? With just a few installs i have only 10 GB left.
Could some one list out must have games/apps?
Hello Friends,
If any of the iPaders here are looking to sell their old 1st gen iPads, please pm me. I am looking for a used iPad one for my lil one to play around with.
Thanks,
Just got an ipad3(or new ipad) 4G 16gb model. Initial impressions are good. Even though was planning on an android tab, the smooth interface of the ipad caught my eve, especially after the laggy and frequently galaxyS.
I want to know a few things,
1) Can i download word docs from the mail or net, and edit them on the ipad?
2) what is the best app to edit word and excel docs?
Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
Anybody has any feedback on the newest Apple cover, which covers the back of iPad too ?
I thought about that and searched around for a while for apps that would help me to edit excel and word docs. Everything was a bit too expensive and I could not find a way to download the docs onto the pad as well. Finally decided its easier to just use google docs with the Safari browser, or use the chrome browser.

Get yourself Pages, Numbers and Keynotes. Amazingly simple apps from Apple (love with retina display). These costs $9.99 a pop and also come as bundled. I use these regularly for official purpose. Certain fonts if avoided require little changes in Excel,Word,PowerPoint. There are no free apps to deal with it and web interface apps like google docs don't work as neatly in this ecosystem. I have been using these since 1 year.

I recommend the Otterbox case, I have been using the apple original for since an year and think its out of juice(gets real squishy and frail). I dinged mine a few days back :( so get yourself an Otterbox or Griffin case.

Chrome browser is the first app that caused my iPad to hang. It's not worth the time and effort, it's slower than the safari browser.
this is what happens when a nokia communicator falls on iPad from a height of less than 2 feet.
:Frustrati
luckily the screen is okay, and just the glass is broken which i would replace by myself. amazon.com has the glass panel for sale for around 30 $ which i can pick up when i visit US next.
any idea whether i can buy the same from somewhere in India for approx. the same price?

JayD, to answer your first question, unlike Office for MAC, Microsoft has not yet launched the entire Office Suite for iPad and does not intend to in the near future.
The only application out of the Office Suite which is available is OneNote. It's free and works seamlessly.

One Note works fine but the issue with the software is that they have killed its core strength i.e., handwritten note. Also I have noticed that once the document is formatted with images and such, emails reformat those and thats pretty irritating.
Hello.
I want to pick up an ipad in the next couple of days.It will most probably be between the iPad 2 16gb wifi+3G model and the new iPad 16gb wifi+cellular.I live in delhi-gurgaon.
What is the best price i can get? Also, I'm in second year college. Am I elligible for any apple student discount, if yes how much?
Otherwise my mom is in singapore right now, Will it make more sense to buy it from there?
The next thing is, i have heard that 16gb for a phone or ipod might be sufficient but not so in case of an ipad. Is that true?
Thanks alot in advance

My iPad II 's 32GB is already full with free apps without any film download. I personally recommend the max capacity.
