Since my 4-year-old monopolises the iPad, I'll try and recollect some from memory:

• Lunchbox (I think that's the name; it has a monkey in its icon)

There are more but I can only tell you once I get control of the iPad.

Whats the going rate for a 16 GB ipad 2 wifi ? I have been quoted 24k . Is 16 GB sufficient for normal surfing and gaming.

GB will define what you keep in storage. Lots of video /audio contributes to majority storage woes.

I think due to dollar strength currently it's a bit higher else it's $400. ₹ 55 to $ makes it 22000 + taxes.

16gb should be enough ..there's always cloud storage like dropbox that you can use for pics and videos.

I've been wanting an iPad for a very long time, and was postponing the buying at the last moment for some reason or other. Finally, to my surprise, wifey decided to gift me one for my birthday. So, finally I now have an iPad2, 32GB, wifi+3G.
Havent used an iPad before, so pardon my noobie questions
1) How do we close an open app?
2) What are the must have apps for business (prefer free)
3) Any good app for indian stock markets/ charting?
4) Can someone recommend a good cover/stand, and how much does a good one cost?
5) Is a screen protector recommended? Heard they dont sell that in Apple stores anymore.
6) What are the best ebook readers suggested, especially for downloaded PDF magazines.

1. Home button. If that's not what you are looking for then double tap home. Long press on any of the apps that are shown at bottom then cross on the app.

4) Bought a Belkin (black- cover+stand with a cool apple logo on it) one from eBay.
5) Bought one Zagg (claimed to be military grade :cool:) from eBay.

Any specific reason screen protector is not recommended? Thing that happened with me is i bought new ipad aka ipad 3 on 27th April and within month of purchase i am experiencing problem now. Not sure whether it is a hardware or software problem. My device goes in to auto recovery mode after sometime. Tried restoring 5-6 times but no use. Finally took it to Apple service center and they told they need to diagnose whether its a hardware or software problem. As usual if software problem it will be fixed but if its a hardware problem they will give me a replacement new iPad.

Now this raised question in my mind since when i purchased iPad, I also purchased screen protector by paying 900 bucks and now they say if the device is replaced they wont give me screen protector complimentary. I need to buy screen protector over again. This made me think that better not buy screen protector again at all. Will it harm my screen in anyway if i use the device without screen protector?

I had a screen protector on my wife's iPad2 and it went dull. Could be the quality but I doubt it.
On th New one I dropped last bit of a cigarette. Flicked it. Wiped it. No issues.
Oh and I didn't have a protector on this one.
