Who does repair jobs on nexus devices bought from playstore? Do I go to the LG store or do they have seperate centres?

And the cost should be somewhere around 12 - 15k when it's released. That should be the cheapest performance android phone from a good manufacturer when it's launched. And motorola has gauranteed an upgrade to Kitkat version of Android.

That looks like a very decent phone considering the price. But will they offer it for around 12k? I am thinking more like 15k or so.

4.4 got pushed into my phone yesterday. Small things noted after the upgrade, takes a couple more seconds to boot. New Phone contacts layout is good. Quickoffice is handy.

Anyone tried Google experience launcher (GEL) on their phones? I installed it on my Galaxy Nexus and quite like the new launcher. You can get the APK at one of the links below. I believe it only works with Android 4.1 and above though. The transparent status bar does not work on my phone and neither does "OK Google".

I guess you'll have to go to LG service center. This was told to me when I was in market to search for a phone.

You can boot into recovery from fastboot mode, flash another rom and see. For using fastboot, you will need appropriate drivers though, xda can help.

EDIT: check this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2010312

A strange thing happening with my Samsung I9082. yesterday evening, phone while in standby mode started playing some audio advertisement on its own via speakers. For an instance I thought that voice was coming from somewhere else. But, when I was driving it played again. Any idea whats it all about?
I have stopped all active applications and cleared RAM and all.

I got delivery of my Nexus 5, to my surprise this is the better then what I was expecting. Light on weight, good on looks. I got white back, though its matt finish and only back is white, front is black only and sides as well glossy black finish. They put protectors all over, and in box I got head phones as well.

Touch is at par with my iphone, and phone is damn fast. though didn't get any time to play with it, and moreover its for better half and she liked it too. So no chance I will get it .

Anyways glad she liked it.

It has arrived finally. PFB

Few shots with my Gnex next to my Nexus 5

A direct conversion of $179 would mean Rs. 11,277/- . But, it should be somewhere around 15k mark, when it's released in India. This has to be the best budget smartphone. Crisp display, quality quad core performance, and stock android experience. :)

I would suggest to go to lg service station only and only if you have some serious problem. My Optimus 4X HD was screwed when I went to get rid of some dust accumulated internally in the display. I will post a short story on that soon.

For the Apps Ops Starter fans, who were left stranded with the 4.4 kitkat, here some good news.
There's a new version of Apps Ops that works just fine with 4.4. Here is the link -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ppopsinstaller

I am also eagerly waiting for the Moto G. I have asked my cousin in US to pre order 16GB Global GSM variant for me and he will be doing the same today. Shipping starts on 2nd Dec. And he is coming to India on 23rd Dec. So i MAY have my Moto G then. Hope they are not over booked / stock out and delay the shipments.

Wait and watch :)

Regards,

Thanks to all who helped me decide with Micromax Canvas 2 :D
Phone arrived on 22nd November ( Ordered on 19th Nov - online on Cromaretail ).
Phone cost me INR 8999.10
I am so far happy with the phone package and seems like enough to play around ( reading further on xda ).
Furthermore - it has 512 MB RAM - so possibility of this phone running Kitkat looks good too!

This phone should serve me fine as a backup phone.

Thanks,

Ace.
