also there is no Gorilla Glass. Considering both are reputed but non-Google Androids it will be worth watching.

I wonder why its a 3G only device. The Snapdragon 801 does have a 4G modem on board I believe.

The official stance is that the phone is too small to sport a 4G antenna.

"Reports out of the launch event in Delhi claim that the reason for not bringing LTE version to India is an issue with the design. According to the company, the Mi 4 is too small to fit the antenna of Indian 4G spectrum."

Mi4 doesn't seem to be value for money when compared to One plus one. Hope xiaomi launches 64GB version. I am using 16GB Mi3 and do feel uneasy because of it's limited space

Meanwhile, this phone should be uber exciting for the selfie maniacs:

Selfie with the ultrapixel will be simply awesome! That solves many of the limitations of most flagships' front cameras!

Only worry whether the snapdragon 615 has the juice for the 1080p screen and whether the 2600mah can give enough juice! But that camera ... mama mia!

But I thought the Indian telcos offer 4G using the same TD-LTE tech that's being used in China?

The Mi4 certainly does work on the Chinese bands, so theoretically its supposed to work here as well.

This is the time the 4" iPhone 5c users will be laughing in the 5" MI4 owners' face.

Its an extremely silly and unbelievable logic coming from a technology company. What kind of technology leaders are they? :uncontrol

Do we have any handset design engineers on the forum who can shed light on the facts?

It is similar to Samsung who first released the Galaxy S5 with 3G @ Rs. 53k stating that the 'market was not ready for 4G'!
They had to swallow their words and release the 4G model within 3 - 4 months, the current price being Rs. 35k!

Any clue/suggestions?

Not sure on Polo's bluetooth menu and settings.
Check out if it has 2 options. One for phone connection and one for media.
Make sure both are connected for all audio to get diverted to car bluetooth. If there are issues, try disabling media and keeping only phone and viceversa.

Guys ! i need help in buying a Samsung (in all probability) for my 60+ dad as his 2.5 yrs old Samsung S2 (immaculate condition), was picked from his pocket at the neighborhood market.

I am keen on samsung only as he has been using the same for quiet some time now.

Any opinions on a samsung in about 20k budget?

used majorly for voice calls and emails.

Please try the Galaxy A 3/5 or E 500/700. The A3 has an iPhonish feel and costs Rs. 20,500 online, should be a 1,000 cheaper in a brick & mortar store!

Also, take a look at the htc Desire range. They are excellent at a somewhat lower price. Sense alone makes the htc worth it.
