Infact Apple phones have higher SAR, i.e 0.9x for 4S and Iphone 5.

Here

(0.96W/kg body)

And I also read up reviews from reputed sources categorically mentioning this.

I have been following that thread very earnestly ! Good to know its bug free. The only thing stopping me is the no flash support from JB onwards. Online streaming comes in handy quite often.

How's the camera and gallery performing ? Some users have been reporting crashes.

Don't worry about flash. You can install it from an .apk. I have no bugs, gallery camera and all are working butter smooth. I flashed the stock just before flashing this. May be that worked :thumbs up

For those interested in the SAR values (Specific Absorption Rate) values for different phones, the data for the global brands is available on:
http://www.sardatabase.com/

You can compare different phones and the higher the SAR rating, the worse the phone is and more damage the Microwaves will cause to human tissues.

Smartphones typically have much higher SAR values than normal mobiles.

Thanks for the link, its quite an eye opener. But do you know where we can find the values for mobiles like Karbonn and Micromax?

I am specifically asking for Karbonn as the A21 has become quite a rage in my office.

Flashed :D

The 4.1.2 leak for the A2 is really brilliant with many new features. One of the best is the call record option and quick memo on the screen when on a call.

I miss a few things from ICS though - The old TV like screen off, the office suite that came preloaded and the in-built smart actions does not have a location trigger and I can't update from the market.

Welcome to JB Atrix 2. Hows your battery doing?

Hi everybody,
I am fed up waiting for a nexus 4. Shipping time (weeks) are now in 2 digits. Also rumours about the end of a google subsidised price for N4. I am looking for a 1GHz,1GB RAM android phone under 20K. Now the only option look like a Atrix2, if I go for brands. As motorola has no service in India anymore, can accident repairs be a pain? Any news about the availability of old galaxy nexus (new piece) elsewere in the world from where it can be sourced trustfully? if anybody is interested in the worldwide availability of N4, here is a website for that (there are plenty others too :) )

If you're using 3G network, watch out for the battery life if Atrix 2 is your choice. Mine lasts only for 10-11 hours with light usage. The new JB leak ROM seems to be better on battery :thumbs up

Screen is of course readable in the sun. With qHD resolution, its simply gorgeous. Comparing to S2, the increase in resolution is easily noticeable. However, the colors are not vibrant as S2 :)

I've not yet been through a day, so lets see, although on ICS I used to get about 15 hours with 3G on full time and moderately high data usage. This is the case with most phones out there. 3G is a big battery drainer.

The A2 screen is an LCD unlike the Amoled on the S2 which means colours are more toned down / natural. On auto brightness the screen brightens up outdoors and readability is pretty good.

Overall its about individual preference. The A2 has a higher resolution than the S2, but if one likes the colour depth of an Amoled the S2 it is !

Also, Motorola service centers will continue to operate, so check if there is one in your city.

15 hours on 3G seems to be good enough. You're lucky. Mine never lasted a working day. Using a Note 2 for the past couple days and already in love with the battery life. 2 days on 3G with full time sync on and 2-3 hours of voice calls clap: With the same usage pattern, I used to get 10 hours average on Atrix 2 :Frustrati

Have had enough of Android. Wanna have a taste of Blackberry :D

Brand New BB Storm 9530 available at a throw away price of 7,xxx/- I know it did not do well in the market. But at that price point, it looks like a steal, No?

Only good thing I recall was email, and as per most of my bb using friends, the messenger. That I didn't get . Come on, you really need the sender to know that not only have you received the message, but have read it too?

Short answer is NO.

For the long answer, first you have to help me understand the logic behind this move.

9530 was on OS 4.xx, if I'm right? At max you can move on to OS 5. You won't even get to upgrade to OS 6, forget OS 7.1 or 10. It was the worst phone in the BB lineup.

And if you really have 7k ideal and want a BB, why not go for 8520? At least its reliable. Else, put 2k more and get 9220.

Or better still, explore the 2nd hand market. At 7k you might land a good Bold!

Getting awesome battery back up from my one v these days.

This is with moderate usage, includes, WiFi, 3g, gaming, watching videos etc.

Earlier with same usage, I used to get around 13 hrs at max.

But, after ( it was sent to service center, for some issue ) repairs, my battery lasts easily for 30-35 hrs with same usage as before.

And this is without any battery saving apps.
