Thanks...Fujitsu's locked with Docomo? And the Go doesn't seem exciting enough for the money...just need something solid and good. The SGS3 is frickin huge to be stuffed in a pocket.

Fix the the missing December month in 4.2 is rolling out to Nexus 10 users in the form of a 4.2.1 update. Other devices should be seeing it soon.

Google Starts Fixing the December Bug in Android 4.2

A person known to me is looking for a low budget android phone.

Usage will be mainly for calling , sms , whatsapp, gmail, & gtalk using 3G.

No browsing but needs a decent camera to click documents and send to his office HO via whatsapp or gmail on the go.

please suggest a mobile below 5000 which will have service centers in pondicherry.if there are no good phones under 5k then max is 8k.

Thanks

Are you trying Play on a mobile network or have you tried on WiFi also?
I had these issues a couple times which gets resolved when I connect through WiFi. If not working out, do the following.

1) Factory reset the device and start from scratch (set up google account and Play store first before doing anything)
2) There's an ICS update available for the device. Install it and before using, do a factory reset.

I had excessive battery drain after upgrading to ICS through OTA and factory resetting. I had to flash it through RSD to sort things out.

Stupid questions but still worth asking. Which data plan are you on?

Got to the root of the problem. And you nailed it. It was the stupid vodafone 2g. My friend turned his phone (airtel 2g) to a wifi hotspot and google play loaded in an instant.

You could walk into a Motorola service centre and have them upgrade the firmware for you.

Do you know where the service center is located? If yes, please do share the address.

No, the information is wrong. Whether on GB or ICS, your boot loader is locked on Atrix 2 :Frustrati Motorola has not unlocked it. But, yes you can root on ICS. I am running a rooted Atrix2 on stock Indian ICS for past two months :)

Is your phone under warranty? Have you faced any issues so far?

The screen time out issue still remains though.

:OT I am planning to buy a wifi router (budget routers, need no fancy stuff). Any suggestions?

Why not Defy Plus itself?

Just figured out, rather shockingly, that Adobe wont support flash for Jelly Bean. I know its not end of world but this would surely make Apple smile. Its ironical that while Apple ditched Adobe, Adobe seems to have ditched Android this time around.

If you stretch a little bit then Sony Xperia Tipo is the best bet. It has Android v4.0.4 and has almost all the basic requirements.

They didn't ditch Android but Mobile Flash. You are 1 year late to the party :).

Yes, 8 months Warranty left. No issues so far on ICS other than the font issue I am facing with my office email. I also had some network issues on GB which got sorted out after upgrading to ics.

Regarding router, get a basic one with Wi-Fi N support. I am personally using a TP link 300Mbps one, but that was bought for streaming 720P content to my HTPC. For basic needs you can get a 150Mbps routers around 1K. Try to get router with external antenna.

There are a lot of good phones under 8k. But pretty much all pf them have crappy cameras. For clear document capturing, look for a phone that comes with Auto-Focus Camera with atleast a 3.2 Mp resolution.

The Auto Focus is very important for this purpose. That is a must-have

Received an update today morning on my Note. Couldnt download it as I was using 2g. Tried now on wifi and this is the message I got "Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later"

Maybe I'm in queue.

Anyone else got this update?
