Guys on 4.2, anybody tried to set the birthday/anniversary of a contact which falls in Dec? Well, you are in for a surprise :). It seems Google forgot to add December to their people/contact app. :uncontrol

I have acquired a new brand less Chinese tablet running Android 4.0 with a TF card slot.
I guess this is a memory card slot. Just want some input. Is TF same as SD / micro SD??

And could someone please recommend a good free pdf reader app??

Google reported that they will fix this glitch soon. The bug fix is expected to be released as an OTA update.

Was not entirely surprised to read that Samsung has stopped rolling out the GS3's JB 411 OTA due to issues faced by users who had already updated their handsets.

They are expected to release a fixed update later but no dates given.

I had also updated my S3 to official Indian 4.1.1 through ODIN was facing occasion lag but it was very much usable.

Today, I got an OTA update of 45.93MB. Installed it. Hope it will take care of issues.

Team,
Here it is JB 4.2 finally available for YAKJU GNex.

Edit: Installation failed and it is no longer showing the update. Phone is still on 4.1.2

Hhm

But this didnt stop me:D

I downloaded the factory image from the google and installed it thru nexus tool kit.

No lag experienced unlike other reports of lags on 4.2 JB.

Google Rocks !!

Thanks for this heads up. I am trying to get the update but the server informs me that the update is rolled out to customers based on requests in a queue. Will try later.

Thanks to Samurai for upgrading and teaching me how to do it as well. Finally up from Eclair (yeah!) to GB on the defy.

Unfortunately, there is a microphone issue on the defy which I think was caused when I dropped it or used it in rain or something. Long story short, its a hardware issue. I can't use the primary mic and have to switch to speaker to let the other person hear me. I can hear perfectly through the ear piece.

Phone's out of warranty (almost as old as Samurai's defy - closing into a year and a half now).

Can someone recommend a good mobile repairer in Bangalore they trust so I can go show the defy and have it fixed?

I couldn't get the update from Samsung via an OTA, hence downloaded the full FW file (796 MB) from Sammobile and flashed it. The kernel date is 8th Nov and version is 4.1.1. Let's see how this one performs.

Yeah. After 45.93 MB update, my kernel date is also 8th November. It is 4.1.1 and Build No. is DLK1. You also got the same.

So far, I have not faced any issue in last 6-7 hours.

S3 available for 29996/- at http://superdeals.homeshop18.com/dea...uma-superdeal/

Guess what was ordered through flipkart a few seconds back, Moto Defy Plus!

Hope it was a wise decision to cancel A110 and opt for this :P

Any pointers what are the first few things that I should do as soon as I get it?

How do you find the lag on the dialler/contacts app? Any battery issues?

I didn't feel any lag today and it is too early to comment on battery but I feel battery performance is equal (or better) to 4.0.4.

Congrats. Acc to me cancellating A110 & opting for defy+ was a wise move. If you are comfortable / confident rooting; head to xda and understand the process and go ahead with it. Defy+ has various good roms out there to try out.

Enjoy!!!
