Do you mean
ASUS?
The NEXUS 7 had been launched at a whopping 20k in India, which means it is an imported device. It is better to procure one from Grey market @14-15K.
Shame that the US N7 costs from 199$ onwards. If ASUS'd launched it at that price point in India, all these budget tabs (funbooks) would've been obliterated.

Very true. The tablets that you are getting at 10K price and N7 (at 15+K in grey / imported) has a world of difference in specs. I was contemplating on a 10K el-cheapo tablet but after reading about N7 and coming to know that I can get on for 15 from homeshop18.com, didn't look back.
With Android 4.2, it has become a true family tablet - with the new
users feature. Now me and wife have different user accounts on the same tablet :) This just doesn't mean the ability to configure multiple Google account in the same desktop, but the ability to create totally different login accounts. The data and apps of different users will be totally different.
Oh is that so? That seems handy. Is there anything else that I should look at. The primary use would be reading comics and novels. Should I look at a larger screen size, would the real estate the good enough? The screen res of the N7 would make comics excellent.
No warranty is confirmed? If I buy from hs18, would I get warranty from Asus?

Screen size should be enough for your reading. But, do check out a 10 inch tablet as well - evaluate for usability by holding it in two orientations, type in the virtual keyboard, consider the weight factor etc.
I chose a 7 inch tablet because I felt a 10 inch tablet is a bit too big to carry around and use.
I got a warranty card from ASUS, but it is not valid in India I suppose.

Just checked hs18, N7 16GB is INR 21K, Thats insane. I spoke to my senior who is coming back from US and have booked 32GB N7 with Mobile data @ $299, Should cost me roughly INR 16k. My primary use is to show my clients the photographs i have clicked and will also be using in CAR for Navigation :)

Buying it from hs18 should come with ASUS warranty. But am not sure warranty applies if you are buying from other countries. Same like DSLRs.:Frustrati
Apart from 16 vs 32 GB mem capacity, are there any other difference between models?
16GB is for 17642 from HS18 and 32GB for 21764
I got a Motorola defy plus one week ago, phone is working perfectly but phone is not charging to 100% , it gets stuck at 90% all the time.
After the battery got drained and phone went off i tried charging with wall charger with phone in OFF condition, this time phone got fully charged to 100%. Then i removed the charger and turned ON the mobile, But inside the Android OS its still showing as 90%. :(
I am using original charger that came with the phone.
Does this implies that my phone has some hardware problem?
Any solutions please?
I did a factory reset of my GNex on Friday. Two more major issues had come up:
1. Random restarts
2. I was unable to download anything from the Play store. Kept giving some error even after clearing data and cache.
After the reset things seem to be fine but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Which version are you running? I haven't faced any random restarts yet. Currently running 4.1.1 with Franco's kernel with cpu over clocked to 1.6ghz. 24 hrs have passed and no issues noticed. Performance is in the next level!
I had updated to 4.2. Lots of issues cropped up after that. In the end I got frustrated and did a factory reset.

I had downloaded the YAKJU 4.2 factory image and was about to flash it few days back. Some how didn't feel like doing it, thank god :)
Please keep us posted on the 4.2 improvements or fixes that come up..
A bit late to the 4.2 party here. Flashed it 2 days back. No issues as of now but I don't see any ground breaking performance improvements either. :) Among the new stuff, I like these -
Camera - New interface is nice. Clean, minimalistic and functional.
Photo sphere - Great too, but not very accurate. Messes up bigtime if you aim the cam to a light source directly in any one of the frames. Yet to check it outdoors.
Photo Editing options - Ability to edit the pics directly without a 3rd party app is greatly appreciated! You can now apply filters/crop/tilt or adjust contrast/brightness/saturation/hue etc. Basically instagram features are now built into the Gallery app.
Clock - The interface and app itself is much improved. It can now display multiple cities and has countdown timer, stopwatch built in! No extra widgets/apps needed.
Day Dream - I use it to display a clock while charging. Kind of a bed side clock. Instead of clock you can also get feeds from Google currents or simply display your photos.
Battery life - Been using it heavily so to speak and managed around 12 hours on single charge. I think it should settle to 14-15 hrs like on 4.1 with my normal usage.
Lockscreen - You can launch the cam in a sec if need be. Some widgets can also be added to the lock screen. If you keep unlocking your device to check your agenda for today or taking a snap, very useful. For me, ummm, I am kinda neutral on this. Neither like nor hate it.

This is a welcome feature! I was using
Photoshop Touch to edit the photos in the phone and tab. Bit complex to use but there are features almost like a desktop version of Photoshop.

Sure, will do. Its been 2 days since the reset and so far so good. No random restarts, battery life seems fine and apps are getting updated from the play store.
