I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Also, my phone is not rooted, does that matter? |

You can wipe Dalvik cache from recovery. Turn off phone --> Enter recovery mode --> Wipe --> Reboot. |

Is there a version of Nexus7 which has a SIM Slot as well. I have a friend coming in from the US and thinking of getting a 16GB Nexus7. He was advising the Nexus10 but i need it basically just to surf the net and play basic games at home, basically a laptop replacement to surf, hence thinking of the Nexus7. Can people advise? |

How is it possible on a non-rooted phone? Stock firmware will have only 3e recovery which will be having only the following options, reboot, update zip from SD card, wipe data , wipte cache and format internal SDC. Recovery options with advanced wipe options are part of a 3rd party kernel AFAIK. @Hells_fury, Try wipe cache from the 3e recovery and the problem still persists, do a full wipe from the 3e recovery which is the last thing you can fiddle with a stock ROM other than trying a custom ROM/ 3rd party kernel after rooting. |

I'm sorry. The only way to clear dalvik cache on phone that isn't rooted is by doing a factory reset. |

Hey Friends, I'm facing an issue with my S2 i9100 since the past few days. I am running 4.0.4 NeatRom (Full) with Siyah 4.1.5. All was well till a few days ago when suddenly the phone screen comes On erratically and then goes off. My phone is not sleeping well anymore, and this is causing the battery to drain faster. I have Vodafone 3G enabled but switch it on only when needed, not all the time. I cant figure out what is causing the wake-ups. I have installed Zoner AV and its scans initially gave me some suspicious apps which I un-installed. Now the scans find nothing. I also tried AirPush Detector (from play store) but that is also not detecting any apps that are causing any Advertisement Pop-ups. What could be causin this? How can i find out? I have Better-Battery stats but not sure how to use it, even xda thread is confusing? Any suggestions? |

I would recommend installing betterbatterystats and cpuspy. In better battery stats you can identify the application which is causing your phone to stay awake. Disable all the location services and see. I had a similar problem on one of the roms I used on Galaxy Ace. Disabling location service solved it for me. You could also search in the ROM's thread to check if others are also reporting this deep sleep issue and if there is a fix yet. |

In about 6 months, my Defy will complete 2 years. That is like 10 in mobile years. I am yet find a worthy successor, with similar, let alone better specs for that size and price. In fact, I find the iPhone4 size the best. I really like the iPhone4 hardware, but do not like highly restrictive iOS/iTunes. Which android phone comes close to iPhone4 in hardware specs and size? |
