Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

For people considering a good mid range phone, check out the Lenovo P770.

Here is my other post on this phone.

One of your apps has injected malware. Try using new browser like Firefox or dolphin else factory reset is the option.

Hi Omar,

The phone is doing really great. Battery life is not much great (though having big battery). I got a latest build update too (.257). Looks like the Camera performance seems good post update. Also, the UI becomes butter smooth now. Yet to read the changelog of this build.

Dude the link is in the post! One click and it takes you the opening post of this ROM which has the latest version (which is 3.1.27 by the way).

The download link is blocked in office so I wanted to know the direct download link that I could use in the phone to start downloading the zip file.

Downloading 3.1.27 now, have you tried this one?

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

From the first of two recent suggestions on this thread, I have now loaded Miui on my Defy+. The UI has advantages and disadvantages over the stock Moto stuff. It is not as stable and has rebooted a few times. Sometimes it is deadly slow doing just ordinary phone work, like sending an SMS: deadly as in over 30 seconds to open the screen. Horrors!

Maybe I should move on to trying QuarkX.

Did you switch to MIUI after having used WIUI? Because WIUI is pretty fast compared to the stock ROM. The only issue with the older WIUI version I had was with the proximity sensor, everything else was super good.

Please try WIUI, highly recommended. The customization options are about 10x than what stock gives us, that too at amazing performance levels.

Is that because you ask for help but don't follow the instructions?

What was that quote about those who forget history are condemned to repeat it?

I saw your earlier post but the issue was resolved without doing anything, I think I posted about it as well. I didn't mean that I continued to have that issue, just that I faced it.

EDIT: Now that I clicked on the link, just two posts later you'd find that it got resolved by itself.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

To Samsung Galaxy S4 owners: I would recommend 'against' the purchase of S View cover right now. I bought one and been using it since evening of 16th May. Not even 2 complete weeks and I already see the skin/cloth type material of the top of the cover starting to peel off.

Very disappointed since I've not even begun to use this phone much (currently on a 3g sim being used only for the web) and so the cover has hardly been used (inside and out of pocket, rough use, etc) and the cover's skin is already giving way. Can say with some confidence that this cover won't last long for people who put it in handbags and jean pockets often and remove..

Definitely not worth paying 2499/- for what doesn't last even 2 weeks under less than moderate usage. Some photos as evidence (downsized so quality might not be great, but you can see the issue clearly).

I have ordered from OboStore earlier and have ordered a pink for my wife's white S4. waiting for it but definitely better priced, even if of same quality.
Check the same product (but not original) here: http://www.obostore.com/s-view-back-...0-p-14999.html
