Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

My Samsung Galaxy S2 runs Supernexus 4.2.2 rom now. Its simply amazing. My battery life has increased to 150% over stock 4.1.2. The phone uses around 450mb or RAM now. It used 600+ earlier. Overall, am very happy!

I mean review of the users who have bought it already. The price has been falling, and it is not compatible with a lot of new mobiles. Also it has lots of performance issues. Scroll down in the Google play store after selecting the app page.

Scroll down the page in the particular app. You get to see the reviews of users. In this, they say it is waste of money. Do check it

Why based it on just 1 or 2 reviewer?

Here are few more reviews if you scroll a bit more. (I am no way related to Sygic but just want to clear some doubts)

http://prntscr.com/17x0am

I have used the app around 5-6 months back and it was working very well.

I had the full version, but when I tried to use it in Kolkotta and Sikkim, it never worked.

I believed that mapmyindia have excellent map database and the best option for offline map. Didnt knew that their quality has dropped.

These are the latest reviews. After the price change. I think they are phasing out of the line. My uncle also has map my India device in his car. Works well. But I feel there is a catch here, they won't drop the price by such a huge margin.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy Young Duos S6312 for my mom. This will be her first smartphone . She says she wants a smaller screen like 3.5" and a compact phone. Good choice? Any better options?

^^^No experience with that particular model, but if I were you, I'd stay away from Samsung if considering a low or medium range phone unless there is some really compelling reason.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Thanks Raccoon. I want a low budget, small screen phone. The other option I have is Sony Xperia E dual. I had made up my mind on the Sony. But the Samsung has 768mb RAM over Sony's 512mb. Even the price seemed quite reasonable. Flipkart offers the Samsung for 7,8xx. And the Samsung runs Jellybean 4.1.2.
