@RJ Vora

I have booked the new Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MJD Emotion Pack

Basic Car Price is 613425 - Ex Showroom Pune

I have got a quote of 16,000 from Bajaj Allianz @ 95% of the car value.

Is this a good deal ? I am tempted to go to United India or New India but I think Bajaj would be better than those two ?

What are your comments / suggestions ?

I have seen it many times that Pvt. companies performing better then Gov. companies, if I am there in your place I will go for Bajaj.

@ R J Vora

Thank you very much for your reply. But is it a fair premium ?

Policybazaar.com is giving me a premium of 13,800 for Bajaj Allianz.

I am a little skeptical buying from policy bazaar since I dont know in person who I am dealing with at the other end.

Please advice

The NCB is only applicable to you since the car was in your name. That is what Tata AIG told me when i sold my car. I had a 50% NCB . Thereafter give them a copy of the form (29/30) i am not sure whihc of these , but ask your company , along with a letter saying that you have sold your car to XYZ and want the NCB. Once you get it, use it for your next buy , valid on both OLD and NEW purchase. See which company offers you the best deal and go with them . Point to ponder. If you live in a secure area you dont need riot , war , flood insurance. So have them removed from your comprehensive policy clause. you will save some more moolah !

Is there any other way that I can transfer my NCB to my new car (which is not yet decided and booked).? Now its too late for me to get my insurance paper back from the new buyer and do the rest as suggested in the above post. Thanks.

You can take the premium quote print from policy bazar and show it to Bajaj guy he will reduce the premium and give you the best buy.

Today I left my car the MASS for the scratches on my car to be painted under insurance. They said that since it is based on police complaints, cashless facility will not be made available to me. But they did assure me that the insurance company will cover the cost for the paintjob.

Hi Amogh,

I can't see the option of choosing Punto on Policybazaar.com website. Can you tell me how did you manage to get a qoute for the same?

NK.

Thanks for the tips Amogh. I got a nice cut in the premium from Bajaj Allianz. 12k for a 95% IDV on ex-showroom price of 611,590 in Delhi. Now only if the RTO mess gets sorted out.

These are the sales talk which is given by insurance company and nothing else. Please don't you trust them when they talk in this fashion.

Bad customer service from Tata.

hi rjvora2000

I am writing this is witha little smirk on my face after ur post I had given up and taken life with the "hota hai" attitude, guess what tata aig issued me a policy for a lower amount and charged my credit card for a higher amount . I spoke to the cc company and they said please write a written complaint this tantamounts to credit card fraud.
