Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

It lives to its tradition of a very weird looking car, While the front bumper treatment looks good, I cannot say the same about the rear profile. The interior beige/black combo looks good, but why the unncessary fake wood lining in the center?

Lastly, what is the design of alloys? One word - Horrendous.

Is this going to get the same 75bhp MJD or the 90 BHP one with VGT? Of maruti had launched it with the diesel automatic, it would have been a segment first and a redefining one at that.

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Guys, you heard it right. It is coming in February. There is a 1.2L 4-speed Automatic too but it will only be available in VXI trim.

We drove all three variants at the BIC and I was just about to update our website when I chanced upon this thread. Here is a side shot for everyone.

Can you share the details about its handling and other issues?

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Guys an album was uploaded by the Budh International Circuit/Indian Grandprix Page on Facebook on the Dzire Media drive.
Sadly the pics were taken off an hour after posting them.All of the pics had Blue Dzires.
It now looks pretty good and way better than the previous one.

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

@Parth,

The launch date is on Feb 1st.

@Bone Collector,

I am just penning down everything. For reasons involving forum rules and their violations, I can't post any links when I am done. But you know where to find it don't you?

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Good to know that MSIL has brought out a small sedan, that looks far less hideous than the current Dzire!

I wonder how much the boot size has reduced.

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Looks a lot cleaner than the existing model. The dual tone interiors adds a flavor to the vehicle. However I feel a slight increase in the power wouldn't have done much harm.

Wow! This is just what my family needs. Time to bring out the cheque book. I like the grey one on the CS though, (Prefer white/ black on Swift), what do you think guys?

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

If they plan to discontinue the current Dzire then what will be the pricing of the new model? Given that it will get tax benefits, is it going to be priced lower then the current one? If they price it at the current levels then wouldn't the customers feel cheated?

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Only L version for existing dzire ?
So Maruti will slowly phase out the current dzire when its demand falls.
But atleast the L version owners can claim they have a 'bigger sedan' with big boot

Those will primarily be aimed at the taxi market! And the precise reason for phasing out the higher variants!

Problem of information scattered around multiple threads. The price will be same as the current gen Dzire. Maruti claims that they have introduced 150 *new* features in the upcoming Dzire and hence they will NOT pass on the tax benefits.
