Laura TSI DSG on Skoda India's website!

I saw this on skoda's official website and another website.

Is this true? Or is it just a mistake in their website?

Is skoda planning to bring in an automatic variant in petrol to give the laura one last push prior to the launch of the new octavia??

If this is true i'd go buy one! Especially if rumours are to be believed about skoda not bringing the 1.8 tsi to india with their new octavia.

Definitely looks true.. They have even displayed "Fuel consumption - rule 115 of CMVR" of the TSI (A) (1.2kmpl *more* than the MT!!)! But there was no news or announcement anywhere!

Carwale has given OTR prices too!! 17,61,333 OTR Pune!

Well spotted vinj14! Does not look like a mistake. Assuming this is true, an auto variant of Petrol looks a bit odd in current fuel pricing situation. Hopefully someone with some inside knowledge/Skoda connections can chime in.

Looks true. Need to validate if it's the same 7 speed DSG gear box as that on Superb. If yes reliability will straight off become a deterrent.

This is indeed true. The TSI now gets the 7-speed DSG (same as the one in the Superb).

Along with this, there are updates to Ambition and Elegance variants. Some of the add-ons are Bluetooth, Touchscreen Audio, steering mounted controls, 16" alloys from the vRS, electrically adjustable driver seat (for Elegance). Note that these updates are only for the AT variants. The MT option still remain with the old feature-set.

With the new Octavia around the corner, this seems a bit odd.
Are they planning to keep this car and launch the new Octavia as the Octavia in India? It is a possibility.

The 1.8 TSI AT seems mighty tempting, but that 7 speed DSG is the fly in the ointment. Great to see so many more features being offered on the AT now though, the only winner in such a scenario would be the customer. That feature list is very complete on the Elegance version, makes it an incredibly appealing package.

Addition to Elegance - electric seat with memory

That was about all I could see. The Laura isn't going down without a fight!
Had posted this in another thread.

Good to see Skoda giving the lower variants more features, it was desperately needed. The Laura is pretty well equipped now I must say. Also even the a.s.s guys were telling me a while ago the mechatronic software was updated, and they have been working on DSG reliability so I don't think that should be a deal breaker.

The only problem with the DSG is you can't remap it. That is how I console myself for having an m/t

Perhaps the information hasn't reached JMD yet, because it sure is showing on Skoda's site even now.

The dealer in Gurgaon confirmed launch of AT when I visited them couple of weeks back.

Vinj14, you sure have eagle eyes man

Confirmed from Skoda! They indeed have the Laura 1.8 TSi DSG on sale right now. I think there's only a limited number available though.

Does this look like a this a genuine TSI AT

Since GTO mentioned about limited numbers, maybe Skoda would have tried earlier too.

It sure is an AT and a TSI based on pictures of the gear shifter and the engine bay! Attractive asking price I must say.
