Look closer it is not inspired from Manza Hybrid. It is pure smiley grill or original Indica V1.

Fly-Wheel have snapped the interiors of the 2014 Vista, apart from managing few more pics of the rear. Here is the link to their report:

Vista's rear lights revealed!

The design of the tail lamp is wrap around type and extends into the hatch door. Tata motors have completed changed the design of the rear hatch door. The number plate is now placed on the hatch door instead of the bumper. The front design is also tweaked.

Re: Team-BHP scoops 2014 Tata Indica Vista Facelift

The instrument console of the 2014 Vista is not centrally mounted as in current Vista (barring 90bhp variant), but in front of the driver. So this means that better sense has prevailed at Tata & they have ditched one major irritant of the existing car.

You know the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced that we're not getting a MAnza hybrid inspired front end. I actually think it's inspired by the S2 concept:

I guess the central design has more to do with LHD and RHD shift economics as is sen in the Matiz, the Etios as well. It is also a differentiator feature if one looks at it that way. The Amby also had a similar design.

, however, not many people were appreciating the central design of the console as they favoured the same in Matiz or any other car.

Makes me wonder whether they actually found any problem with Tata car or were looking for reasons to exclude the same from their list. This is very much the reason, considering the fact that Tata cars are least favoured on TBHP, along with Hyundai, although the latter has won over the masses for its foreign brand & quality (obviously).

Looks very good, atleast they have begun to get their designs right. First time a Tata to my eyes looks desirable. From pics of the Falcon derived from S2 concept and honeycomb grill, it seems Tata's have got their exterior design spot-on.

Re: Team-BHP scoops 2014 Tata Indica Vista Facelift

I spotted the new Vista on the BETL yesterday evening at around 18:00hrs.
My colleague captured some photos from his mobile (excuse the poor image quality)
The instrument cluster was very similar to that of a Swift/Dzire.
They had taken care to close all the logos but the logo on the alloys were not camouflaged.

Re: Team-BHP scoops 2014 Tata Indica Vista Facelift

Instrument cluster is similar to that of the Manza, not the Swift/D'zire. The central instrument console has been withdrawn. Driven almost 40K kms, never had an issue with the central placement though.

I was talking about the layout of the Instrument Cluster, and not the placement of it.
If you look closely at the picture you see 2 big dials and in between the two, a central vertical LCD MID.
This layout is similar to Swift and not Manza which doesn't have a LCD MID between the dials.

Re: Team-BHP scoops 2014 Tata Indica Vista Facelift

Fantastic catch Hemanth! they indeed look more like the ones in the Swift. And thankfully Tata has done away with the el cheapo 'flashy' blue for the digital display unit. Hope they give black and grey shades for the interiors to keep with the sportier theme of the Falcon project!
