Expect Jeep Avenger inspired design on this upcoming compact SUV. Speculations might suggest a length under 4.3m, similar to Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun.

Powertrain-wise, the Jeep’s SUV will likely make use of Citroen’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor mated to a six-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. This C3 Aircross’s engine is tuned to generate a power output of up to 109bhp and 205Nm of peak torque.

I don't have a good feeling about this. They'll end up diluting the Jeep brand with this product. Till now, Citroen has just launched cheapened out products other than the C5 Aircross. Not sure if just adding a Jeep brand and some features will attract people in the long term. Indian consumer is a highly informed buyer, they will see through this and it might result in 1 more flop!

They should have rather used Jeep Compass as the base platform and launch a Citroen product based on that - with a proper QC and saner pricing!

Creta and Seltos needs a solid competitor, and this can bring something strong to challenge them, provided it has the pedigree of Jeep, and should stay far away from Stellantis way of doing things. And hopefully, this will be exciting.

It could go either way. The C3’s platform is a modified version of the same CMP platform that underpins the Avenger and Peugeot 208. We’ll have to wait and watch to see which side the rumoured Jeep leans towards.
