Re: New Ford Everest / Endeavour concept revealed

With windows a little upright, it would look like Sumo Grande ! Or atleast the Sumo Grande could be made to look like this easily by TATA.

Probably a price hike for their cars.

Much needed freshness to the age old endeavor. Looks solid i must say. Not sure it would be expensive than the out going model.

Re: New Ford Everest / Endeavour concept revealed

While the Fortuner is definitely butch looking this is more proportionate & fit (I don't know how else to put it). I mean right from the front, to the 3/4 to the rear stance, its all modern yet butch enough!

But I'm guessing the production model would be devoid of those M/T tyres and in-your-face alloys. This would be a looker with fat tyres and some sick alloys.

With Fortuner I think 90% of the butch feel is because of those humongous tyres, else its not as neat looking as this one.

Pricing of course is going to the actual game changer, irrespective of how good it looks.

IMO this could be for the unveiling of new Endeavour, though it could also be for launch of new Figo &/ or 2014 Fiesta Classic.
This will most likely be for the facelift of the current Endy which is due for a launch, although I had assumed an auto expo launch

The all new Endy featured here will launch in June 2015

I doubt it will just be a mere facelift on the present Endy. The teaser clearly states it to be a "Global" announcement.

So it must be something which will have a wider audience.

The current Endy is definitely getting a facelift

Whether this announcement is for that, I'm not sure

Keeping a keen & close eye over this one, as when time comes to replace my Fortuner (in about a year) this new gen Endeavor will be launched so this will be a good option if Toyota aren't keen on getting the next gen Fortuner around the same time.

Lets hope for the best

I have the 4x4 Thunder Plus with 3.0 engine and manual gearbox & transfer case. Sad they discontinued the manual 4x4. Hope they bring it back..

Re: New Ford Everest / Endeavour concept revealed

The Ford Everest Concept has made its ASEAN debut at the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show. The SUV has been designed for global markets and will be built in Thailand. When it comes to India, it will replace the Endeavour and be locally assembled from CKD kits.

Re: New Ford Everest / Endeavour concept revealed

We can expect the handling to be spot on and better than Fortuner. Also, if Ford's other recent launches are anything to go by, there should be a significant step up from the current gen in terms of equipment and interiors.

However there are two serious concerns which remain. The pricing and how they handle the launch and sales. One doesnt get much confidence from how the Ecosport bookings were handled. Also, the way Ford randomly took price increases when they realized the Ecosport was a hit, doesnt inspire much confidence.

This looks like 30lakhs, atleast on road in Karnataka. Can't we get some good big butch 7 seaters in the 15 to 20 lakh range ?
