I was supposed to take the Ecosport delivery a few days back, but I deferred the process to check if there are any price revisions. Both my dealer and Ford India told me that they have stopped invoicing as the new pricelist is not ready yet.

TATA & FIAT yet to reduce the prices.

Mahindra it appears did not pass on the entire reduction. On scorpio and xylo reduction is around 20K only (excise reduction is 6%)

Re: Budget 2014 - Car prices to come down due to reduction in Excise Duty!

Excise cut seems to be gala time with car dealerships All of a sudden, I have started getting calls from several SA about further discounts in price as if the dealer is giving from his pocket, little do they realize that its offered across the spectrum.
Checked with Hyundai and the net discount offered is 2.5% for Verna across all variants. I am not sure with numbers if 4% excise duty cut translates into net reduction of 2.5% but seeing a Ford Figo getting discounted by 20,000 shows that Hyundai is eating into its profit, some part of the excise duty cut
I hope March discounts and offers don't get diluted due to this price cut right now.

I came across the news on the net that Fiat has already reduced their prices and the declaration is there on their FB page. I cannot access FB from my office and hence cannot post any pictures.

Any idea on Fiat India's revised prices for the Linea and Punto? Just enquired at RDC Motors chennai for Linea T-Jet they were saying the price reduction is only 30 K and they are quoting 10.3 L. They are offering discounts upto 1 Lac, can someone confirm the new prices??

Bajaj Auto has drastically reduced prices on their flagship Pulsar 200NS. The new price is even less than the launch price. No news on KTM price revision (or otherwise) however.

What was the price before the price cut?

It was inevitable anyway. First the KTM 390 killed the pricing benchmarks and now HD 750 hit another blow. Just wait and watch, almost all 150 cc and above two wheelers' prices will come down significantly. Good times for the end customers.

Rajiv Bajaj in an interview with NDTV Profit quoted, that 4% is not a small amount and it will be passed on to its customers. Except for one model in Bajaj, the "Platina" , which is already aggressively priced low, all other models of Bajaj & KTM will benefit from the reduction

Re: Ford India cuts prices of all models as per new Tax standards)

Ford must be nursing its image by claiming to have reduced the prices first after all the flack they have received due to multiple price rises especially of the EcoSport and huge delays in delivery.

Somehow have the feeling that they will be the first one to jack up the prices of the EcoSport to start with at the drop of the hat and that too silently. Ultimately the end customer are not really going to benifit in the long term.
