Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that there are 3 variants of the 1.6 DDiS (Delta, Zeta & Alpha) and 5 Variants of the DDiS 1.3 (Delta, Zeta & Alpha, Sigma & Sigma[O])!

It's 3 variants for 1.6L and 5 for 1.3L as we can see in the spec sheet.

Oops got confused by Volkman 's post which has a quoted part saying 5 variants of 1.6l.

Thanks for correcting. It is indeed 5 variants for 1.3

I m glued to this for getting any hints on the pricing.

Actually no, the base version has no ABS & only driver airbag.

However I do think not having an AT option for 1.6 version is ceding ground to the Creta... a 6 speed auto on the 1.6 would have been a real spoke in Hyundai's wheels.

Can anyone confirm if the S-Cross has a dual zone Auto a/c?

Absolutely no hints of the S-Cross pricing. Since the official launch is still almost a month away, I am guessing they are waiting for the Creta's launch and the official pricing of the Hyundai SUV.

Fiat-sourced for now, until Suzuki develops it's own.

re: The Maruti S-Cross. (Details released: Page 38)

Wow! Disc brakes on all wheels, ABS/Driver Airbags (min) on all versions. Maruti going all the way to break the premium hoodoo.

Car looks good and can be an alternative for a sedan for many families. GC+Good luggage carrying capacity coupled with a bigger engine. City/Ciaz better watch out.

Sedans must truly watch out as this car has the potential to take a big chunk out of its market.

Love the way the headlamps look and white looks awesome on this car.

Expect to see a great fight between the two leading car manufacturers in India

Edit: Seems like the lowest 1.3 variant misses out on ABS. But all others carry them. A change for good from Maruti.

re: The Maruti S-Cross. (Details released: Page 38)

Thanks for sharing the pictures & information, volkman10 & RavenAvi!

Delighted to see the direction in which Maruti Suzuki are heading with regard to the spread of safety features! Even the base Sigma variant gets a driver airbag as standard, and a safety option pack (consisting of passenger airbag, ABS & rear discs and other stuff like pre-tensioners & load-limiters) is also available for this variant.

The tyres are 205/60 R16, so the wheels are 16-inchers.

It's the Fiat 1.6 MJD. Maruti Suzuki are importing it from Europe (Hungary?) for now.

As stated earlier, IMO, petrol variant will come in the form of the Boosterjet K14 Turbo petrol that will be available for China market in Q3. Could come in here in 2016.

Why no Auto and AWD?
Reason could be the AWD Variant in AT will most likely come again in 2016 as this variant is just released in UK - but most likely only in the 1.6 MJD variant.

How much premium will this command over Ciaz ?

And I would have preferred the driver seat adjustment to be standard across all variants.

re: The Maruti S-Cross. (Details released: Page 38)

It looks much better than I thought and 1.6 MJD being offered in 3 variants ! I could have never asked for anything more.

I just hope that they get the pricing right. It is a very promising product with right pricing, it has the potential topping the charts.

re: The Maruti S-Cross. (Details released: Page 38)

Why no AWD at launch? I guess Maruti again wanted to be part of the herd though they could be a leader here. It will be interesting to see the impact of back to back launch of Creta and S Cross on Duster and Ecosport.
