can't wait! I hope the there are colour options for the GT variants as well. The DSG-diesel combo is ruled out I guess.

I totally agree. VW has been very conservative with the colours for the GT models.

Hoping for VW to announce 1.2 TSI with manual transmission at reasonable price, DSG box makes the TSI costly In my opinion.

Saw the refreshed polo at Volkswagen Noida yesterday. They didn't allow me to click snaps. Here are some more differences apart from the ones mentioned earlier:

All black interiors in trendline & comfortline variants
MID is white colored unlike the redish one earlier. Its slightly bigger too
New seat fabric designs in all variants
Temperature gauge added to MID which was missing earlier
The metallic finish added to the dashboard in Highline variant is not to my liking. IMHO it decreases the premium feel of the car. Gives it more like a 'Marutiish' look
The MID controls have been shifted to the steering mounted controls in Highline. Earlier they were on the side of the wiper control stick.
Common man wont be able to differentiate between the old and refreshed polo at a glance. The changes are too mild.
The new steering has been borrowed from Jetta
Black color discontinued for all variants.
New price list to be announced for the refreshed Polo

Most importanlly: the GT TSI is not available in manual transmission!! Also the GT TDI wont be available in automatic transmission.

Some of the things that will be sorely missed are turn indicators on ORVMs, DRL (whether LED's or not)

Anybody covering the launch event in Delhi today?

I'm more interested in the launch dates of the GT's, which I hear is Sept now. :-(

Regarding the cornering lights, I guess they will only function IF you have the turn indicator active (which anyways we should while turning!). Pls correct me if wrong.

On the Passat, the cornering lights come on as soon as the steering is turned to the left or right, irrespective of whether the turn indicators are used.

I don't think there is a manual tsi in the offering atleast as of now. The brochure actually says nothing of it. What's shown in the brochure is that the top half depicts the different variants of the Polo car (gt,cross,regular one) and in the bottom half they have shown the engines offered in these variants (105 tdi, 90 tdi, 105 tsi...etc). That's it.

A manual tsi would be wonderful though. It would be significantly lighter than the gt tdi, probably cost 1.5 lakhs less and way more refined and fun. I would pick it over the tdi in a heart beat.

By the way don't anyone of you think its a bit unfair to compare the TSI and the TDI. I mean ones a 1.2 and the other is a 1.6 right? That's a whole 400cc difference. Just wondering.

The steering wheel on the facelifted Polo has been lifted directly from the current generation Golf (not the GTI which has a different design).

Just came across the brochure. It says that it has been published before launch. But it was supposed to be launched today. Haven't they launched it yet? I've attached the images of the features only, they have more here.

GT TSI and GT TDI at 7.99 lakhs Ex Showroom Delhi. Pretty good pricing i would say
