I confirm that JEEP will have separate dealerships and will not be sold under the same roof as FIAT. The dealerships have mostly been finalized and the same will be disclosed soon.

AFAIK the Jeep showroom in Delhi is almost complete and enjoys a strategic location at Mathura Road between Lamborghini Delhi and Rolls Royce Delhi showrooms.

The entire stretch of about a kilometre has some high-end luxury & exotic car showrooms - Mercedes Benz, Maserati, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini. The Delhi Jeep showroom being situated in the same vicinity may lure in some prospective customers from the German trio showrooms as well.

Saw these vehicles while coming from Vizag to Vijayawada. 2 are masked and the 3rd is unmasked and is a Jeep model. Guess the 2 that are masked are also Jeep vehicles based on the front grill and under going road worthiness.

Mods, pl move to appropriate thread if not relevant here and also put a watermark if required.

Looks like they chose the GQ for their test runs, with the cars being spotted all over India in the recent times. With no plans to launch the Renegade, I wonder why would they even spend money on the Camouflage.

New Jeep Compass ( Project 551) will be released in September, will go on sale in October( Brazil)
Will be a segment above Jeep Renegade and below the Cherokee.

The SUV will share much of the mechanical structure with its siblings (Toro and Renegade), besides the traction and suspension systems. The entry version of the model will be equipped with the 2.0 16V engine TigerShark. With technologies such as full aluminum construction and variable valve timing, this propellant will render 159 horsepower at 6,200 rpm with gasoline and 164 HP to 6,000 rpm with ethanol, besides 19.8 kgfm of torque at 4,000 rpm with the first fuel and 20.4 kgfm the 4,400 rpm with the second. With this engine, the traction will always lead. The Exchange already be six-speed gearbox and traction 4 × 2.

Already the diesel engine is the same 2.0 of Toro brothers and Renegade. The 2.0 turbo diesel MultiJet II, which yields 170 HP and torque kgfm 35.7 already used by Renegade and that will also be in the truck Toro. The Exchange will be the nine-speed automatic. Already traction diesel model will be 4 × 4.


The Compass will be the second national Jeep and third model out of factory production lines of the FCA Group in Pernambuco. The SUV will be a mini Grand Cherokee. By using the platform of the Fiat Toro, the Compass will be greater than the Renegade and less than the Cherokee. In Brazil it will be marketed exactly this gap.

Jeep will launch the locally manufactured ' Jeep Compass' in India in 2017.

This new SUV, currently known as the Jeep C-SUV will likely get the "Jeep Compass" moniker. Jeep has invested USD 280 million at Ranjangaon facility for the production of this model.

The C-SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 13-20 lakh. Power is expected to be between 107hp and 122hp from a 1.5-litre Fiat Multijet diesel engine (a downsized version the international 1.6-litre block) for the 2WD model.

An all-wheel-drive version, powered by a larger 2.0-litre Multijet engine making 170hp, will also be offered.

After its survey on the compact /SUV here is the outcome.

Jeep to bring compact SUV in the price range of Rs 10-20 lakhs

And the more ambitious B segment Jeep which is internally codenamed 526 may be a sub- 4 metre sports utility vehicle and take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.

No time frame known, can speculate a 2018 launch

The C Segment Jeep which is internally code named 556 is expected to be launched within a year around August and it will be exported to a lot of right hand drive markets
The first few hundred units of C Jeep of 556 will be made by the end of the year and Fiat will test the vehicles before rolling it out the manufacturing line in Ranjangaon on the outskirts of Pune from the second half of 2017.

The company has benchmarked BMW X1 for C Jeep and it is planning to make it available at Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
The company is planning on annual volumes of about 40,000 to 50,000 units per annum, with some portfolio going to exports market

Fiat's C SUV - India launch.

1. Will be unveiled Globally in September followed by a public debut at the Sao Paulo Motor show, Brazil, in November this year.

2. The new car sits above the Renegade SUV, which has been sold in global markets since 2015.

3. The C-SUV will be styled very close to the Grand Cherokee with similar details and an overall profile.This car is set to replace both the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot, which are sold internationally and may be called the ‘Compass’ as it is the more well-known brand of the two.

4. India investment is approximately Rs 1,768 crore to produce the C-SUV in their Ranjangaon plant and production is expected to commence in the first half of 2017.

5. Under the hood, it will get a Fiat sourced but largely localised, 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel which produces 172hp. This version is expected to get 4WD, keeping with the brands legendary off-road reputation. Also expect a downsized version of the international 1.6-litre Multijet diesel engine to make it here, whose power output is expected to stand between 105hp and 120hp. This version may get a front-wheel drivetrain.

6.The Jeep C-SUV which will be locally built, could be priced around the Rs 20 lakh mark to compete with the likes of the soon-to-be-launched Tucson, the CR-V and the Fortuner and Endeavour too.

7.As of now, apart from manufacturing the C-SUV for India, the India plant is also expected to export the same car for other right-hand-drive markets around the globe

That's because Renegade is smaller and will be priced around 10-15lakhs. There's no market in India for a 25lakh mini SUV.

Jeep C - SUV( Compass) will go on sale in 2017 (Europe) and will take on Kia Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan. Slotting between Renegade ( length - 4230) and Cherokee ( L -4620)the new Compass will be 4440 mm in length.

The Jeep Compass 2017 will resume the basic mechanics Small Wide 4 × 4, with front and all-wheel drive, the same down used for Renegade and Fiat 500X: in this version, however, earn a few centimeters in length and width, so as to adapt it to new shares of the car body.

The Jeep Compass will also have a Trailhawk variant, addressed to the off-road enthusiasts, with specific protections on the bodywork and mechanical improvements. In the engine range will include the units under the hood of the Renegade, or the 1.4 petrol and 1.6 turbo and 2.0 diesel, some of which will also match the recent 9-speed automatic transmission.
