Seriously, how many different pricelists does the Maruti dealerships have to get printed in the last two months?

Maruti is bombarding the market with these launches at such short durations with Vitara Brezza also poised to launch soon enough. Will they run out of gas next year on new launches/facelifts?

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

Great news! Had a doubt that MSIL will equip only the Stingray with AMT. Now, if the WagonR is also equipped with ABS & EBD even for the entry level variants like in the Celerio, that will be super awesome.

I would love to own a Stingray LXi AMT with ABS and those yummy black interiors.

Would have been wonderful if MSIL can add hill hold like in Duster AWD or Creta. The perfect city car!

For just a lakh more - you get such a better car. More spacious, easy ingress and egress, more storage. Don't know why anyone should buy a k10 amt in such a scenario. Especially as monthly payments would not be that much more.

If price is really really an issue and you are in a crunch and can't spend the extra lakh - then the Tata Nano amt with an OTR price of about Rs.3.5 lakh is so much better- a lot more car for the money and you get to save Rs.1.5 lakh.

I just hope that the wait time for wagon r amt is not a long one. I think the wagonr amt will be a huge hit.
Agree to the fact that Wagon R is a level above in comparison to K10 but the buyers going for K10 are already in a very sensitive price zone and one lakh will be a big stretch for them. I believe Maruti has made a smart move by providing AMT across the price band i.e. K10 for lower band, Wagon R for middle and for those willing to shell more, its Celerio.

Vitara Brezza could launch only after the Auto Expo, could be in March 2016.

Then it could be the Micro S/CUV-Ignis, awesome if as speculated will get the 4WD option.

Will Maruti Suzuki launch the Grand Vitara in a diesel avatar? Speculations are high on this

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

With AMT, Wagon R might give a tough fight to Alto and Dzire for the No 1 position. Maruti's plans will in turn help Magneti Marelli achieve its sales targets, the humble one that it had set

Currently sales of AMT equipped cars are suffering due to production constraints. As time passes by, things should fall in line for the AMT.
Magneti Marelli targets 200000 AMT units per year, perhaps this should help clear the back logs

Well MSIL won't run out of steam, in case they do, they have the celebration editions, anniversary editions, RS Editions , special editions, festival editions that they can bank upon.

slap some funky decals, give body kits, spoilers on the existing range and you have the new facelift ready

Is the Brezza expected in an automatic guise? CVT, TC or at least an AMT?

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

MSIL has decided to mainstream automatic transmission in India and it seems that it will flip the equation in favour of auto-boxes in mass market products through AMT while the high end premium offerings (may be the NEXA line) will have advance automatic options like Dual Clutch / CVT etc.

The next two priorities for Maruti seem to be

- Automatics
- Safety features

Cheers

Safe to assume Swift is next in line to get the auto gear shift ? Any details about that ?

If people turn to Baleno due to auto tranny then the slow death of swift is evident.

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

Just got a call from Pune dealer, the SA confirmed that it'll be launched on 6th Nov.

He said that it'll have twin airbags, ABS and will be available in both WagonR and Stingray.
He didn't have details about pricing.

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

Maruti should go ahead and launch WagonR and other models with AMT+CNG! It will be the first company to do so and can create a new segment all together. CNG is easily available in Delhi, for people who commute Delhi-Gurgaon on daily basis it can be the perfect combination. They don't need much power in those long jams, gear shifting becomes zero plus CNG economy

Re: Scoop data on the Alto K10, WagonR AMT & more

Is it wise to wait for Tata Kite AMT?
or go for WagonR/Celerio AMT now?

In my opinion, Kite will be a feature rich car, and should be in the same price range.

And a more modern product of the 2. When is it expected, btw?
