My experience with NEXA has been pretty good so far. Since I have been in the market to buy a new car for sometime now, I have checked Honda, VW , Hyundai and offcourse Maruti (for Ciaz).

To be fair, I quite liked the person I interacted with at Honda and Hyundai too for that matter but VW was worst. The gentleman who I bothered by showing up at the showroom was initially under impression that I was there to check out Jetta ( wonder why, when I had cleared said Polo and Vento at the help desk). He seemed irritated when I pointed out that I wasnt looking at Jetta. With utmost difficulty he got me the brochures of the two cars and while running through the features was happily taking his personal calls ( all when I and my wife were waiting).

Regular Maruti folks were actually bad; However the NEXA RM who has been interacting with me has been extremely professional. I like the way he has followed up with me to give me the details of the car, when he knows that I wont buy anything else. Looking forward to the delivery experience and how they handle the booking further.

The launch of Nexa Brand is currently live in Nexa official website.

Maruti has hired around 1,000 managers in this initial phase, and says the number will go up to 2,500 as the Nexa network expands. The brand has set a target of selling 2 million units by 2020, and premium models are likely to be big contributors to those sales. The S-Cross is slated for launch in August and will retail exclusively out of Nexa showrooms.

To deliver an upmarket buying experience, the Maruti Nexa dealerships will focus on aspects right from design, lighting and tech used in the showroom, to loyalty programs and rewards for customers. What's beneficial is that customers can take deliveries of their cars from inside the showrooms; a specialised area has been allotted for this

Maruti Suzuki has launched a premium automotive experience brand called NEXA, in India today. This experience includes standalone dealerships for Maruti's premium line-up of cars, relationship managers for each customer, digital customer care experience and a contemporary showroom design (in comparison to other Maruti showrooms).

Maruti will introduce nearly 100 NEXA dealerships across the country, spread in over 30 cities in the next 6-8 months.

Each customer will have a personal relationship manager, who will serve as the single point of contact and will look after the buying and the servicing requirements. These will be recruited from sectors such as hospitality, aviation and financial services. Nearly 1,000 personnel are recruited and trained already and this number will go up to 2,500 over the next 6-8 months.

The showroom will sport a black and white theme with the lighting focussed on the coloured display vehicle. Ipads will provide customers all the information they require relating to the product and Apple TVs, placed inside the showroom, will replicate the tablet screen for a better virtual experience.

The first car to be sold under the NEXA showrooms will be the S-Cross, whose launch is scheduled on August 5th.

When I enquired about the Ciaz a month back for a friend, the Popular Maruti (Velachery-Tambaram Road) guys told me that they have been asked to open a Nexa dealership at the earliest. Apparently, not all Maruti-Suzuki's existing dealerships were given the privilege to open Nexa outlets with only an elite handful getting that chance. He wasn't sure about the launch date and who else (apart from Popular) were given the privilege to open Nexa outlets in Chennai.

Showroom looks classy..

Hopefully same Premium touch will be there in training of technicians as well as handling cars inside workshop. Current Maruti dealerships are certainly not bad, but to feel Premium they need to sweat a lot.

Bang ON.
In fact i checked out a S Cross in a yard and there was a CIAZ also standing with the Alloys. Even the sales executive agreed that the Cross would look fabulous with those alloys.
There was a 1.3 available in blue colour and it looked stunning. I drove it within the yard over some undulations and was impressed.

Khivraj motors have one coming up soon. They put the S - cross on display at Vijaya forum mall last weekend.

Isn't the Ciaz also supposed to be sold at Nexa showrooms? I thought Ciaz would be the first car to be sold followed by the S cross. What is Maruti's definition of premium? :D

I had the same question, but the Raipur Nexa Sales executive informed me that for starters only S Cross will be sold from their showroom and he mentioned that a CIAZ Premium will be launched shortly which will also be sold from NEXA.
Now how much correct he is will be anybody's guess or is there a premium CIAZ with a better rated engine round the corner ? Anybody ?

I just hope that it's not only the showrooms but also their future products that exude premium feel. They are trying to sell s-cross as a premium car when they already have a Ciaz. In this regard, I'm also interested to see if GV or Kizashi makes a comeback through this Nexa outlets.

Ciaz is not in the plan as it is already being sold through the current dealership network.
All existing dealers are not having Nexa dealerships and so is the reasoning of not retailing Ciaz through Nexa.

Maruti is working on a performance-range of products

Quote:

Apart from advertising as the most fuel-efficient brand in India, Maruti is also working towards building a premium brand NEXA and a sub-brand for those who are tinkered by performance. Just like the EZ Drive, we will see something for those who need better performance too. It is likely to be named as EZ performance or Easy performance
Quote:

The first product in this range will be the Ciaz. It will get a body-kit with side skirts and rear spoiler. The company is also working towards attracting youth buyers. The EZ Performance is likely to get minor mechanical upgrades. Then there will be an engine start-stop option, to switch off the engine in traffic situations.

This EZ Performance will be coming on the Maruti YRA too, as it will be getting a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine.

Does that also mean that if a S-cross buyer goes to a dealership who don't have a nexa outlet, their sales persons will try to persuade the customer to get a swift, cause otherwise they will lose a customer.
