This looks nice and the dual colour scheme seems to hit brezza more than the ecosport. Any idea about the price and launch date in India? the interiors look sporty and modern.

The interior dash layout with the leather face and screen shape reminds me of the Range Rover Sport's dashboard.

WOW! This looks great to me.
The exterior is slightly quirky but the interiors are absolutely wonderful.
Nissan should bring this to India ASAP.
As long as they price it alongside Creta, I think this has a very good chance if they load it up properly.

I am looking forward to the Honda Vezel/HRV and this one. Both look to be very promising options in the compact SUV space and have the potential to provide the much needed competition to the Creta.

re: The Nissan Kicks Crossover. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 9.55 lakhs

Nissan Kicks - First Drive report,

The Nissan Kicks Crossover. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 9.55 lakhs-1.jpg

Just one engine is being offered at launch - a 1.6-litre petrol producing 113bhp and 152Nm of torque on the Brazilian-spec car driven here, but 118bhp and 149Nm elsewhere in Latin America. The Brazilian car is different because it’s tweaked to accommodate the country’s strong ethanol fuel mix.

With the limited test route drive,
Quote:
On the road, though, it’s hard to really feel that system working - which is to say that the Kicks drives like a decent but basic thing. It stays reasonably flat in corners and deals with potholes and speed bumps effectively - sorting out any resulting wobbles not at the first attempt, perhaps, but usually at the second.
If the chassis could conceivably be sold to Western European buyers with only a few tweaks, the engine is a different matter. It’s pretty low on torque, and the CVT box does a good job of sapping what power there is, sending revs rocketing if you try to make rapid progress. Reaching 60mph needs a mix of determination, tolerance and patience - although once you’re up there, the engine does calm down.

Question - Nissan already has Juke to compete against EcoSport, why make this ? To strengthened the lineup ?

Production of the Nissan Kicks SUV "kicks" off at Nissan's Aguascalientes A1 plant in Mexico.

Based on the Nissan V platform, the Brazil-spec Kicks is powered by a 1.6-litre flex-fuel (petrol-ethanol) engine that produces 114hp at 5,600 rpm and 152Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, and is paired to the X-tronic CVT gearbox.

For India, Nissan Kicks (codename PB1D) will ride on the Nissan CMF-B platform instead, which will underpin the second-gen Nissan Juke and the next-gen Renault Duster. It will arrive in our country sometime in 2019.

Kicks and Kaptur would battle it out for a piece of the Compact SUV pie! Both of them look good and have a similar design theme and interior most probably almost same dimensions. The one to win in this battle would definitely be the customer!

Does it not look more like a bloated Redi-Go (and presumably based on that platform)? Or is it just me?

The front grille looks out of place on an otherwise catchy design. The news articles seem to mention a 2019 launch, isn't that a bit too far in the future to even talk about right now?

Somehow doesn't look very clean. Too many elements. Just doesn't look cohesive and classic. The guy mentions something about the Creta. Is this an ecosport / Brezza rival or the one to compete with Creta? Looks a little smaller than the Creta though.
