The side profile, looks quite similar to Creta. Look at the C pillar and A pillar, it looks identical to me.

Re: On Hyundai's all-new Compact SUV

More spy images of the new Hyundai compact SUV have surfaced online. This time the test mules were spotted on the streets of South Korea.

The spy images suggest that the styling of the new compact SUV will be based on the recent design trend at Hyundai. It is likely to feature a large cascade grille in the front and a split headlight design which takes inspiration from the Kona. The side profile looks almost similar to the Creta. At the rear, it has a raked windshield and a shark fin antenna. One of the test mules also has silver roof rails.

It is still unclear whether Hyundai will offer this compact SUV in India. However, the carmaker has already confirmed that the Indian market will get a compact SUV based on the Carlino concept which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. A sub-4m micro SUV is also being considered.

The new 1.5 L petrol that Hyundai is working on should make its way into this. Turbo petrols don't have many takers in India and the 1 L turbo petrol is a failure even before start!
