Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Big shoutout to Vid6639 for shooting these pictures & his coverage of the Auto Expo. Thanks for sharing, man! Classy pavilion: ![]() Tata Motors has used black, red, grey & white...which incidentally are the colours of Team-BHP! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The pictures you see above are from the media day (yesterday). Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() The Tata Kite 5 Codenamed the Kite 5. Final name pending, but I can assure you it won't be called the Zica CS ![]() ![]() Smoked headlamps look wicked: ![]() Shiny black ORVMs: ![]() But the real news is at the side & rear. You'll have to agree that is a superbly integrated boot: ![]() Based on the Zica, you can expect the engine range & mechanicals to be identical. This will be Tata's 3rd compact sedan (Zest is new, and the Indigo CS is still on sale): ![]() Viewed from this angle, isn't there some semblance to Jaguar's designs? On the other hand, these Multi-PCD rims look awful. What was Tata thinking?! ![]() Split wraparound tail-lights look fab. Fat chrome strip & big Tata logo dominate the rear: ![]() We were told that the reversing lights are placed lower down on the bumper: ![]() Spoiler is more hatchback than sedan. Looks different, in a pleasant way. Doubt the production version will have such a wide HMSL. Shiny black roof too: ![]() Big rear door with a sharp cut. Quarter glass wasn't there on the Zica: ![]() ![]() 2,450 mm wheelbase is longer than the Zica's. Should improve legroom, but cannot confirm until we sit in it: ![]() Headroom for taller occupants appears to be in short supply: ![]() The boot. Surely doesn't seem to be 420 liters in size as the rumours suggest? ![]() ![]() With struts on both sides: ![]() Image from Tata Motors. Air-con controls are from the Zest, not the Zica (reference image). Is Tata going to offer climate control in this car? ![]() Last edited by GTO : 4th February 2016 at 16:06. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() The Tata Nexon Compact SUV Since the concept shown at the last Auto Expo, Tata says this is what the production version will look like (without the multiple colours, of course): ![]() The styling will surely polarise opinions, but in a crowded market place, being different is good...especially when you're a late arrival: ![]() Projectors with DRLs. Headlamp shape reminds me a lot of the facelifted Laura: ![]() Sub-4 meter length. The Nexon is based on the Zest / Bolt platform: ![]() A peek inside. Display stuck on top is like what we see in newer Mercedes: ![]() Ground clearance is rated at 200 mm: ![]() LED tail-lamps: ![]() We'll be seeing the Nexon on sale in the 2nd half of 2016: ![]() 215/60 R16 rubber. Tata really needs to work on the rims it chooses for its show cars! ![]() Press image of the cabin. Before you get excited, no, that rotary knob is not an AWD selector. Seems to be for the engine driving modes: ![]() Last edited by GTO : 4th February 2016 at 14:25. |

| ![]() Superb review for people like us who cant be there personally. Thanka for the effort. Tata looks to be the most improved manufacturer of the lot. The cars are good looking inside out. I wish them good sales. Afterall competition is always good. |

| ![]() ![]() NEXON looks stunning. Great work from the design team. It is a win win car in TATA's kitty. With a correct marketing strategy and pricing, it'll bring volume sales. The 1.5L diesel metione on TATA's auto expo website, where did it come from? Is it a Peugot engine or self developed ? Any idea about it guys ? This years show belongs to TATA, they have been the highlight among all the manufacturers. Bravo TATA ![]() Last edited by v_safari : 4th February 2016 at 15:49. |

| ![]() A great show by TATA. Kite sedan is looking good, with one of the best integrated boots in the compact sedan. And it's for the better than with Kite and its sedan sibling, TATA has moved ahead from the age old design of Indica, which was surely showing it's age. Nexon and Hexa are also looking good, especially Nexon, which can be termed as of the best looking sub-4m SUV's (the rear is too busy although). Bolt with above 100 Bhp, it won't be able to match Baleno RS or GT twins in handling, fit and looks department, but that'll be hell of a hot hatch (if priced competitively). What TATA needs now is a great marketing team and it should focus on providing better ASS, and then it can only grow. Hope TATA can have a turnaround and perform better with these products. |

| ![]() Kite 5 sedan looks awesome. Still if I were to select between kite 5 & zest, i will go with Zest because of better rear space and engine. The Nexon looks good . I believe that the production version will be even more modified based on the feedback they receive during the auto expo. |
