MB must increase the equipment level on the 2016 S350d to match up. At Least they should put better alloys and offer an AMG kit. Moreover, they must give a similar BSI pack for 3 years.

I am curious to know if the rear seat height of the old 7 has been maintained. This was one area where I felt the previous 7 won over the new S. The higher seating position at the rear made getting in and our of the car easier and also offered better thigh support. However, from the images it seems that the new 7 has lost this advantage since the seats now look lower placed.

I think it was always same after they changed Dash display somewhere in 2014 , when 6 cylinder model engines were upgraded . But for certain unknown reasons , I always felt my 2014 MY 530-D to be quite then 2015 MY 730-D.

Now new 7 has even higher Bhp & substantially higher Torque - 620 against 560 on 530-D - have a look at comparison ,

On a different note - just sold my Havana 730-D , can't wait to get hands on new one

The new 7 has a new diesel engine too. Its the B57 as compared to the N57 which was in the 7 series you had.

That's cool , they will upgrade 530 in coming months then. I lost lot of money on last 7 , hopefully newer 7 is quieter & better then outgoing.

I think the new engine will only be added to the new 5 which will come out shortly.

Though seeing BMWs effort on this 7, I'm sure it will be far quieter and better refined than the one you had.

This will dent the S Class monopoly but not mop it up. This appeals more for the tech savvy business man and the occassional owner-driver. Judging by the numbers of 7's one sees, it will do well in India. somehow, in China, I saw very few newer 7's than before.

Going by the BMW India configurator these also seem to be the stock rims that the M Sport variant will come equipped with.
