Unfortunately they are offering about 7 lacs as discount right now. Have decided to wait till march when they would want to simply sell off their BS4 cars.

If I don't get a decent deal then - don't know whether one can get a decent deal ever!

Have been hearing crazy deals being offered (about 15 lacs) on the X5 as well as the 530d (new cars. not demo cars) - so expecting at least that much considering the 6GT is not their most popular car amongst any segment as it is.

Let's see how it pans out.

I've already messaged you buddy.

Update : Still to get a good deal from my dealer for the 630D - looks like I have to be super patient and wait for another fortnight for them to consider giving decent discounts on their BS4 stocks.

I don't think they'll offer you a bigger and better deal the reason being that bmw has more stock of the 20d engine and not the 30d engine. So they'll happily sell of the 30d to prospective customers at a lesser discount and will deeply discount the 20d. That's what I've heard from a local bmw dealer.

New gen 5 GT got renamed 6 GT (G32), why would they discontinue a product in the middle of the product lifecycle ? This is the LCi 6GT same way the current 5 series is getting a facelift

2020 BMW 6-Series GT shows more!

Like the G30 5-Series LCI, the updated 6-Series GT is also getting new headlights, slightly thinner and with a more modern-looking Daytime Running Light signature.

The 6 definitely looks more sharp now!
Except the obnoxious looking 7 series, the other new sedans/coupes from BMW look really nice and poised.

All variants of the new 6 Series GT will have a 48-volt mild-hybrid system as standard equipment. The mild-hybrid setup includes an electric motor that acts as a starter and generator, and is intended to increase efficiency through both overall efficiency and power. BMW says the hybrid system adds 11 horsepower (8 kilowatts) to the 6 Series GT. Braking energy is stored in an additional 48-volt battery.

All engines meet the Euro 6d emissions standard and send power to a standard-issue eight-speed automatic. In addition to a twin-scroll turbocharger, the two gasoline engines have direct injection at a maximum pressure of 350 bar (previously 200 bar). All three diesels now have two-stage charging. The four-cylinder diesel also has direct injection via new solenoid valve injectors that work at up to 2500 bar. For the first time, the two 3.0-liter diesels have step charging. It is combined with direct injection via piezo injectors with up to 2,700 bar.

Re: All-new BMW 6-Series GT (1st time ever)

The front end has bigger changes compared to the rear, which infact needed the bigger change IMO.
Overall the changes on the facelifted E are a lot more significant and would continue to lead the segment as it has done.

Re: All-new BMW 6-Series GT (1st time ever)

Here is a quick update

I took the plunge and bought the 630D M Sport BSVI in bluestone metallic with mocha interiors. Bought it from the Raipur dealer as the local dealer initially was acting a bit high handed and the Raipur guys were extremely prompt and polite. Yet to receive the car because of transportation issues all thanks to COVID19. EMIs have started and the wait is excruciating!! Add to it - the car becomes obsolete even before it reaches home.

The E Class with it's LWB, and better looks is going to continue to remain the segment leader.
That being said, I just hope they give nicer wheels on the indian-spec 6GT which will go a long way in making the looks more palatable; along with more color options.

Finally got my car delivered today. It probably is the first BS6 630d delivered in the country. Still trying to figure out what is what - might come up with an initial experience in a couple of days.

But the 6 cylinder 3 litre engine makes you grin like a school girl each time you push the pedal!!!
