The Kodiaq is 32L ex showroom. So if they price a petrol Front wheel drive compact SUV more than the full sized AWD SUV it would be the stupidest thing in the world.

My guess is price will be same as Compass which is 22-24 ex showroom.

The previous poster mentioned that the Octavia RS 245 that’s launching in limited numbers next year is going to be priced 36L ex showroom, not the Karoq.

Yes but he also mentioned that the RS was going to be priced at 36L and the karoq TSI was 2000 euros more than the RS 245 internationally.

So in India both being CBU it would still be very silly to have the karoq anywhere close to the RS 245 pricing.

I agree the right pricing for the Karoq will be in the Compass range of 22-24L ex-showroom. But I will be very surprised if it is priced in that range. Octavia 1.8TSI L&K AT is price at 24L ex-showroom. The top-end Karoq 1.5TSI just as feature loaded, if not more, and I think there is every chance that Karoq will be priced at a premium to the Octavia (that's how it is priced internationally). Hold the 1.8TSI vs 1.5TSI comparison, because top-end Karoq 1.5TSI is priced at €4k premium compared to Octavia 2.0TSI 190HP 4x4 version here. The Karoq is coming as a CBU and in limited numbers, so I think there is not much incentive for Skoda to keep the price down.

If we are guided by Kodiaq pricing for the Karoq, the Kodiaq L&K AT is priced at about 36.8L ex-showroom. How much of a premium does it demand over a similarly feature-loaded Karoq 1.5TSI AT? Even a 7L premium would still mean nearly 30L ex-showroom for the Karoq.

Yup, this is the 1.5L TSI Karoq slated for launch very soon in March / April. Will be CBU and only one top spec variant.

The alloys look like the one they had on the Superb Sportline.

It's surprising to see the Karoq with Camouflage considering that it is likely to be brought down as a CBU.
Is Homologation required for CBU's as well?
Or is Skoda considering the possibility of bringing this down as a CKD?

The Skoda Karoq has been spotted testing on the outskirts of Pune.



The spy images suggest that the India-spec Karoq could be offered with dual-tone alloy wheels, black grille, wraparound headlamps with LED daytime running lights and roof rails. The SUV appears to have a dual-tone interior with beige upholstery for the seats.



Media reports suggest that the Karoq could be imported as a completely built unit (CBU). It could be offered with a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 148 BHP. The engine could be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A diesel variant could be introduced at a later date.



The Karoq is expected to be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo.
