Re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

Glad to know that the runner-up is also the best 4X4 car of the year! Now eagerly waiting for the auto expo to see what manufacturers have in store for us this year!

No offense to any Hexa owners, but best 4x4 car of the year from Autoportal!?? Looks like one of those awards were cars are chosen first and then pick categories. They even have a 'Best variant of the year award'

Either way, its good that the Hexa is able to stand out for its off-road capability. Going by what you said, its even better, cause it got them to decide on that category!

By AutoPortal.

Going by their general reputation - I was rather surprised there is no cupholder of the year award, nor Mother in laws choice award. Regular viewers would understand.

Anyways - Hear it directly from the source, why Hexa was awarded the best 4*4. They say it's a very good car off road but the reason for the award is also - 1. 7 seats. 2. Great family car 3. Long list of features and carry people in style - compared to XUV and Innova. Being a rival to SUVs and MPVs makes it the best 4*4 this year.

Frankly - Their entire awards was nothing more than a joke. So let's get back to the Team Bhp results.

The most epic reasoning I have heard in the recent times. I mean, who in their right senses can come up with such a comparison??

I never watched the video, just the image shared by TM. If this reasoning is the basis of selecting it as a capable 4X4, then i've got nothing to say!
Just makes it a good marketing collateral (barring few who are familiar with Autoportal)!

Re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

Jeep Compass won the award miles ahead from its closest competitor. I would not dare to compare Jeep standard with Tata. As have drive the both I can see that Jeep is also good for off-roading and this bad boy got looks too compared to Hexa.

Re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

Well deserved. This is one well packaged car. The success of Compass proves that if you cook the right recepie you can taste success, regardless of the reputation of the brand. Jeep is anyway a new brand for the Indian customers even though the name 'Jeep' is very familiar. An average Indian customer would not know that Jeep is not owned by FCA which couldn't contribute much in today's automotive scene in India untill now. Hope to see more offerings from Jeep in the coming years. And another reason for FCA to try and bring their other brands to India.
