Only reason for Honda not doing this is that they are afraid of killing their golden goose City. As said in tech industry, if you don't cannibalize your product yourself, someone else will do it for you. It's not like City is selling gangbusters nowadays too. Honda India as a company need to come out of their conservative shells and think about how to move forward and make exciting cars.

The Venue launch is going to put pressure on Honda for WR-V automatic. People might be sceptical over Ford's ownership or Tata's Petrol AMT, but Hyundai does not have that stigma and it has been launched at a good price too. I hope this and the upcoming Brezza petrol finally compels Honda to launch WR-V in that avatar.
