| ![]() What Nexon needs is a bit of weight reduction. Also a minimum of 5 mm of less ground clearance and we will have a car that is both more efficient and a better handler. Seriously 1.2 Turbo petrol has so much more potential if Tata could reduce its workload |

I can confirm the high altitude testing part. I saw the Tiago (disguised) being tested near Shimla on Sunday evening. Did not see a nexon though. Tiago was the sole car at that point. |

Slowly and steadily all Tata products will shift to Alfa and Omega architecture for economies of scale and keeping the future safety norms in mind. Products from sub-Tiago hatchback to Creta rivalling SUV and/or Sedan will be on Alfa while all MPVs and SUVs over 4.3m (IIRC) will be based on the Omega platform. |

| ![]() its too early for the Nexon to get a facelift, however going by the upcoming competition, it'll be a good idea for Tata to offer a minor-update with fresh looks. Brezza is getting a facelift, XuV300 is here and the Hyundai Styx will be out in the market too in the next 2-3 months. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm surprised no one has mentioned till now, but I would really like to see a properly loaded top end variant in the Nexon facelift. With 6 airbags and a sunroof! With the positioning of the XUV 3OO and Ecosport S - it is quite clear that Nexon is indeed a VFM product, however, also comes with much lesser features than the above two. A loaded top end variant will still allow TATA to undercut the above two products while retaining the desirability quotient of the Nexon as well. Since this is a midlife facelift, a platform change, or significant weight reduction is quite unlikely. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Possibly there is an opportunity for tata to look at the unbalanced as I would like to call it, feature distribution as well. The XZ variant launched later doesn't have even basic things like fog lamps, rear wipers or an armrest. If someone has shortlisted the Nexon ideally its better to go for the XM or the XZ+ variant only. The base variant is just too basic, while the XT and XZ variants misses out on a lot of things for the price. |

Your render shows how a quirky design can be transformed to classy with just a few tweaks. Kudos! Could you possibly take a swing at the busy derriere too? ![]() Last edited by Chetan_Rao : 26th March 2019 at 10:52. |

| ![]() Tata has brought forward a competent product in the Nexon, and the numbers speak for themselves. The shape/ design to some may be a little too ahead of its times, but overall, the car is a working blend of power, safety, handling and ergonomics. The render by ashutoshb is indeed eyecatching and going by the design language of Harrier & Altroz, it's possible that Tata is working on something similar. I hope in the next iteration of the Nexon, Tata plonks a decent 6 speed Auto along with a Torque Converter to make it a true Automatic. (Though hoping for an AWD may be asking for too much here , it would make the Nexon the perfect go anywhere-safe-powerful- compact- spacious automatic! ![]() Cheers ! |
