Seems they are continuing with the same crappy infotainment unit with no Android auto or Car play. Just hope they keep the prices sensible

Isn't the V Cross launched in Thailand a 3.0 litre?

Yes, they did but it was the next gen and just read the news on it too. They have mentioned that it is super expensive than the one that is going to be launched here in India but still affordable as is cheaper than Toyota Hilux.

Here is the teaser video of Hi Lander from Isuzu India YouTube channel.
The video somehow feels similar to the ones that Tata comes up with for their commercial pickups.

Will the HiLander come with the same 1.9L engine? Also will it get 4x4?

Re: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9L 4x4 AT spied. EDIT : Now Launched at Rs. 19.99 lakhs

I know the enthusiast choice is the V-Cross, but am jolly excited for the Hi-lander!!!

Since the V-Cross already has a 2wd cheaper version, this doesn't have to be (and priced) as the cheaper V-Cross, but as the white plate S-cab!!!

Not really expecting the 1.9l engine the Hi-lander, but since they have removed the speed limiter maybe change the power output back to the old 135bhp instead of the current sorry 75bhp?

Is it just ECU tuning or hardware changes? Can't see anything different at least from the specs.

Edit: Just now read the previous pages. So the Hi-lander maybe getting the 1.9l engine. But at 5 lakhs more than the S-cab for ex-showroom prices and almost 19-20 lakhs for on-road prices, better stretch out and buy the base Innova if you don't have heavy hauling to do

Re: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9L 4x4 AT spied. EDIT : Now Launched at Rs. 19.99 lakhs

Scoop! Isuzu V-Cross 4x4 to get 6MT & 6AT gearbox options

Isuzu is gearing up to launch the updated D-Max V-Cross on May 10, 2021. We can now share some interesting technical details about the pick-up truck.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9L 4x4 AT spied. EDIT : Now Launched at Rs. 19.99 lakhs-screenshot_20210509090346936_com.whatsapp.jpg

Earlier, we had reported that the Isuzu V-Cross will be offered in two trims - Z and Z Prestige, with the option of 2WD and 4WD. We have now learned that the Z 4x4 variant will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the Z Prestige 4x4 will get a 6-speed automatic.

Isuzu will also introduce a base-spec Hi-Lander trim. This variant will only get a 6-speed manual transmission and two-wheel drive.

Powering the D-Max V-Cross and Hi-Lander will be a 1.9-litre, 4-cylinder, diesel engine that produces 161 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 360 Nm @ 2,000-2,500 rpm. The four-wheel-drive variants will get a shift-on-the-fly system with a high torque mode.

Re: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9L 4x4 AT spied. EDIT : Now Launched at Rs. 19.99 lakhs

The BS4 Prestige variant with AT Transmission was for 19.99 Lakhs. Now Autocar India says to expect a price increase from 3 Lakhs to 4 Lakhs, so going by that and the information shared by TusharK, here is what I am presuming.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Standard BS4 4x4 was being sold for INR 16.54 Lakh (This is Delhi Pricing). So the BS6 should be 1.5 Lakhs to max 2 Lakhs, but Isuzu can price it competitive to draw some sales. For the Top variant I am hoping it to settle under 22 Lakhs or 23 Lakhs bracket as anything higher will be a risky move and it will be sitting in Sales showrooms, collecting dust or just having Window shoppers.

Re: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9L 4x4 AT spied. EDIT : Now Launched at Rs. 19.99 lakhs

Thanks for sharing the insider information . This is really getting interesting.

Having driven Ford F-150 extensively in USA, I know how much fun it is to drive the pickups. But again, its not everyone's cup of tea. For those who want something different, who are adventurous, doesn't care what friends and relatives judge of your choices, V-Cross will be a good choice. It's got spacious cabin. Invest in a good, secure loading bay cover (tonneau cover) you are all set for any kind journey. The width and girth may be a hindrance for hardcore off roading in tight spots, but rest of the terrain like ladakh, thar dessert would be easy I guess. Heck, if you are a cycling or motorcycle enthusiast, you can load your ride in the bay and take it where ever you want. I guess few of Team BHPians have done it already with V-Cross.

All one needs to consider is the parking space as this takes almost half of road if you plan to park it outside. Waiting for launch program which is about to begin. Lets see how it goes.

Can current owners comment on long distance touring ability. Driver fatigue after say 500+ km journey in a day?
