I'm really happily surprised by the pricing. This could be another blockbuster from Hyundai after Creta. And this will go stronger post BS6 implementation, just my thoughts.

Pleasantly surprised with the pricing. I think it has been done just right. Now only the drive review is pending.

Official Brochure from Hyundai.

Important features missing for DCT is surely a dampener for those considering for AT variant, that too for a vehicle which is 15 Lakh on-road in Bangalore.

- Rear Wiper & Washer.
- Rear Center Armrest with Cup Holder .
- Sliding Front Armrest.
- 60:40 Split Rear Seat.
- Side & Curtain Airbags.

The pricing is in line with my prediction a while back :thumbs up.

With reference to the pricing, IMHO, Hyundai will be forced to price it well (even if they had other plans earlier). Reason = the market is in the doldrums. Read this thread . One would need to be really, really daring to launch a premium-priced car in this market. At best, I think Hyundai will charge a small premium for its quality & the usual stuff.

On the other hand, never know. Mahindra did it and seems to have gotten away with the XUV300's pricing (based on just 2 months of sales data).

Walkaround of the SX Dual-tone variant. Gets a black and beige interior treatment. Misses out on Supervision instrument cluster. This one on the SX is an eyesore.

Wonderful Introductory pricing. The only question in my mind is how long will they have his pricing? Deepavali? December 2019? March 2020? Whatever it is, this will not only dent Brezza, it will dent i20 numbers also (forget i20 active)

An observation:

Front center armrest and door armrest are only available in dual tone interior.
Dual tone interior is only available in dual tone exterior.
Dual tone exterior is only available in SX MT.
So, SX DCT do not get armrests. Neither at the front, nor at the back.

What stupidity is this?

P.S. They seem to have changed the SX+ DCT nomenclature to SX DCT, as is evident from their brochure and booking page.

Has anyone spotted an S variant? Considering it doesn't get those strange DRL's, curious to know how it looks.

S-DCT seems to be more or less on par with Ecosport Trend+ AT (except for a few features here and there like the exclusion of fog lights, 2-din audio system vs Fly audio etc). Of course, the Ecosport has a bigger, naturally aspirated engine + a more reliable auto transmission.

This is the same with SX MT as well. Sunroof for SX is nice but I would have been happier with Rear Wiper/Washer and 60:40 split.

Totally agree GTO. You made my day. Finally I have a car of my choice with the suitable features and bulls-eye pricing!

Yes, but SX MT is 1.60 lakh cheaper than DCT.

Every CSUV manufacturer is in trouble now - Tata , Mahindra , Ford , Suzuki . Everyone will have to reduce prices to maintain their numbers. Ecosport still has one big advantage - It is still the only proper automatic with six airbags. With the venue , you still can get only one of the two.

So prices are reasonable, less than what most of us expected (considering Hyundai usually charge a premium for it's sticker). DCT S and SX+ are very well priced against the competition. Would be interesting to see how the sales numbers change in coming months.

Hhowever, for MT transmission, I still feel Verna SX petrol offers much more for a price premium of just Rs. 50000. Bigger car, better features (more usable ones - like sliding front armrest, rear armrest, KESS smart key etc) and a bigger engine. Venue trumps in form factor (if one has an affinity for raised hatches over sedans), much better ARAI fuel efficiency and a turbo petrol.

I'm more confused now. I had zeroed in on Verna (just waiting to arrange enough $ for down payment), now Venue also need to be tested.

Hi,

Front Centre Armrest is available in non-dual tone variant also.

Front center armrest with storage and without sliding facility is available in S, SX variants and with storage and sliding facility is available in SX(O).

Please see comfort & convenience section of the brochure.
