WOLFSBURG: Volkswagen's icon SUV Touareg V8 has reached the end of its road and the German manufacturer is phasing it out with a special 'last edition'.

The special model is limited to 400 consecutively numbered vehicles and is characterized by an individual exterior package with high-gloss painted components, which clearly stand out from the Touareg series.

Each unit is provided with a badge on the B-pillar, which adorns both the lettering "Last Edition" and the numbering.

The basis for the special model is the Touareg R-Line with the Black Style package. Additional features include wheel arches painted in high-gloss black, a diffuser also painted in high-gloss black, and door handles in plain black.

Recently appointed VW brand head Ashish Gupta says first lot of T-Roc and Tiguan Allspace sold out. Plans to import second lot this year. Both models brought under homologation free category limited to 2500 units a year.
