Looks fab for sure. The interiors design do seem to be from a segment above as well. But if they plan to launch this in the US in 2022, wonder by the time they line it up for India, the next generation will be well on its way.

Re: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson spotted in South Korea

I wish the latest Creta had similar looks - mini Tucson instead of enlarged Venue. Although I really like the new interior of Creta, I just cannot fathom the polarising exterior design. Some might argue that the Tucson’s design is polarising too, but I feel more people would love it than hate it, when compared to Creta. If Hyundai launches this Tucson around 25L price bracket, I’d definitely shortlist this one.

Re: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson spotted in South Korea

Hyundai have gone overboard with the cuts and creases!
At least now if someone T-bones you at the traffic lights, you can say that it's just a design quirk. They seem to be trying too hard to stand out in a sea of mid size crossovers. But the Tucson is a really good car at the end of the day and if people dig the looks then maybe they'll have double digit sales.

I hope someone makes an aftermarket grille for the Creta copying this design.

Re: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson spotted in South Korea

Awful grill and awful alloys, too many lights. The dimensions look great and from the side at first i thought it was a Harrier. Overdone like the Creta. Interiors might be great but a big no for me like the Creta.

Re: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson spotted in South Korea

My opinion on purely the design / looks:-

Front - Nice
Rear - Great
Side - Overdone to the point of looking ugly
The Rims also are a little too much bling for my taste.

Interiors - Great again
But I do not like this new steering wheel.

It's a mixed bag. Loved the interiors, really classy.

Just too much bling on the exterior, so much so that they could not find a slot for the rear Hyundai Logo. It is now up on the windscreen somewhere.:

Have to see it in person,l presume that this design won't age well.

Hope Hyundai brings it in the N trim as well?

Not sure why they haven't bothered with the N line. Atleast as a halo product that would give them some bragging rights in the print and electronic media.

I like the front design.

Doesn't it look a bit like Mercedes-Benz EQC front grill?

Hyundai Tucson twinning with Lamborghini Urus on exterior cuts and creases

Hyundai's design team is really losing the plot as far as the latest designs are concerned. I remember seeing a similar type of front grill in one of the Honda City versions. The side looks like it has taken inspiration from the Toyota CHR. The rear is the best view. The same steering wheel design in the Creta didn't impress and here it looks totally out of place in an otherwise good looking interior. A mixed bag as far as the design is concerned. We should see if the rest of the package can deliver the goods.

Re: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson spotted in South Korea

I like the interiors, they feel rich and classy. However, I'm not sure about the exterior - too many cuts and creases. Anyway I never liked the fluidic design of the Hyundais and I find this new design language even worse. They are too in your face.

Example, the new Creta, Venue. I thought may be the design will grow on me with time, but its been a while already since their launch and I think I'll never be able to like it.

Wait a minute ! With the Hyundai logo up there on the rear glass, would no variant get a rear wiper now? It would be interesting to see how they have managed the rear wiper placement.

Is the rear wiper positioned below the rear spoiler, at the top of the rear wind shield? I have seen some cars have this, so could be an option.
