G costs about 18.5Lacs for yellow board. That said big chunk of Cabbies have moved away from Innova which is why sales have fallen from 6-7K to 4K. I was in Goa arlier this year and witnessed a lot of Ertiga which has been eating into Innova's yellow board market.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

New Innova Crysta to have very limited supply in December owing to the on-going manpower crisis at Toyota Plant. Apparently, this month dealers will have very low allocation of the new Model.

People in knowhow of the issue say that it is more than simple disciplinary problem. Toyota apparently has a lot of idle manpower owing to one plant (which produces Yaris) having less than 15 percent production. Toyota is trying to shred the excess salary load which has resulted in this crisis.

In short, people will have to wait more to spend 70k more on the same car !

Toyota can simply solve the problem by launching new models, expanding their portfolio rather than adding rebadged MS cars to the line-up. Even the employees must have become tired of seeing the same Innova and Fortuner! I guess the downfall of Toyota India has begun and it’s showing in their effort and pure numbers.

I have been eagerly waiting for this new infotainment in order to retrofit into my fortuner, which has the most ridiculously outdated headunit for a car in its price bracket. Only a Toyota(in India) can get away with these type of things.

My contact at a local dealer here indicated that the new infotainment unit will cost around 1,75,000! I am still confused if it was a typo or a silly year end joke.

Their philosophy is simple, just like their cars - why fix something which is not broken! When both their cars - Innova and Fortuner - are leading respective segments by a huge margin without any significant updates being offered frequently, why bother

Read through the entire thread looking for exactly this question! On the same boat as yours and am really looking at replacing the stone-age HU with the newer one that sports Android Auto. Dang, I really need that for better navigation with Google Maps.

Did I just read 1.75L? For a HU? Seeing most Pioneer and other after-market units in the under-30k bracket, I was hoping Toyota would make a sane offer of 70k or so. Adding a lakh to it is called "greed".

Well, any idea if any dealers in MH offer an upgrade yet?

Damn! I might as well buy a Crysta take out the head unit and retrofit the same in my Fortuner. Sell the car after a few months once Toyota hikes the prices as suggested by bhpian Varunraizada. Will definitely work out cheaper, infact might even make some profit.

Great idea!

Guess the best bet now would be to give it a few months and look up the classified section for someone who is upgrading to an aftermarket. The current Pioneer wireless Android Auto and Carplay line up look sweet. Heck, they all of a sudden even seem affordable now.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

Finally found “Sparkling Black Crystal Shine” Innova in flesh and it is anything but black. The color is more of violet and only in photos in certain angles it looks a bit black. I was confused between this one and attitude black but looks like attitude black it is going to be.

What are these auxiliary charges and accessories charges. They make up over 5% of the on road cost!

A glorified name for handling charges?

Don't think even Mercedes & BMW charge so much, and definitely don't remember such a large amount being asked by anyone including when we purchased our Corolla from Madhuban Toyota in 2017.

Something to be ignored, all dealers in Pune I spoke to (and I guess any other dealer anywhere) happy to sell the car at Ex-showroom + Rto/registration + handling charges. Rest all are optional, they are just trying to upsell accessories, 3m services etc., and buy insurance from outside. But of course you will go in for an extended warranty.

This color looks really premium. Would love to see more cars in colors like this.
Good luck with your purchase When I was enquiring about attitude black all the dealerships had the same response of uncertain delivery times as colors in this particular shade are only painted once a certain amount of orders have been placed country-wide.
