Which car would you buy to modify??

Hey everyone,

which car would you buy so that you could install all those super goodies into it? A car that is not too expensive or hi-fi.

For me, I guess I'll take the old BMW 3 Series, Mercedes 190 or the Ford Mustang.

Mostly I'll take the BMW or the Mercedes and paint it a complete rally paint, skirts, turbos, NOS, etc. It'll look super.

Couldn't get a picture of the old BMW 3 Series.

I wud go for a 2nd hand Skoda Octavia or a City VTEC. Engine mods like free flow, K&N filters etc etc, skirts all around, paint the car black, red leather interiors, Autometer competition instruments, Black [or chrome....i cant decide] alloys.

Thats a 300D or a 190D in the pic??? Looks more like a 190.

The Vtec or the Lancer. Huge potential for modifications in both these cars. One is the quickest, the other an emperor of handling. Even minor visual tweaks transform these cars into headturners. Under the hood, you can go as far as your wallet would find allow.

my choice without blinkin an eyelid wud be the old city 1.5 (not the vtec). paint it a lustrous metallic deep silver-grey with hues of deep blue-violet, skirts all around and red nappa leather interiors. 205 tires on 16" black-satin finish alloys......and no spoilers, everyone's got 'em. a killer alpine sound system with mb quart speakers.....amps, subs, the works.....the amps and subs in the boot, highlighted by neon lights. performance upgrades and all, this car is gonna rockkkkkkkk!!!!!!!! maybe i'd put some vinyls showing the names of the upgrade parts (like greddy, sparco, streetglow.....) on the front doors, one below the other.....like u see in tuned imports.

Well for India, I guess the best car to modify is the Lancer or a City (1.5 or Vtec) coz you get almost every upgrade available and not for too high price(just like GTO pointed out)!
Personally I'd go for a Fiat Palio 1.6 and tune it hardcore *for the power to weight ratio*
Ummm.. as far as an Import is concerned
Undoubtedly the Subaru Impreza WRX (love GT-R34 Skyline, but too low for our roads, dont you think?)
Anyway v12, that was friggin funny man (the standard 2000, does give a glimpse of 365 GTB/4 i suppose! )

For me it would have to be the older 1.5 City . Buy one good pre owned example and do the works to it.. (I'm actually planning to ) From the foreign breed of cars nothing but pure muscle like a Ford Mustang or Dodge Charger would do for me...

Cheers
