well nothing can beat taxes in BLR bro (some 18% i guess!) and guess what? pay road tax for no roads ;-)

Well, if you like 18% Road Tax, I am sure you'd love 20% Road Tax here in Hyderabad But But BUT, we got roads. So, no complaints as such! Happy to pay 20%.

Well I paid 21% last year in Kerala. Then the roads, except highway from Kochi to TVM, are excellent in comparison.

November 2022 sales numbers of Audi, BMW & Mercedes India

FADA has released the vehicle registration data of luxury cars for November 2022.

Mercedes-Benz has come out on top with 1195 units sold, followed by BMW and Jaguar Land Rover, which have sold 966 units and 153 units, respectively.

Luxury carmaker sales for November 2022:
  • Mercedes-Benz - 1,129 units, up from 901 units in November 2021
  • BMW - 962 units, up from 753 units in November 2021
  • Jaguar Land Rover - 158 units, down from 203 units in November 2021
  • Volvo - 156 units, up from 138 units in November 2021
  • Porsche - 80 units, up from 32 units in November 2021
  • Audi - 44 units (CBU), down from 107 units in November 2021
  • Lamborghini - 2 units, up from 0 units in November 2021
  • Bentley - 1 unit, down from 5 units in November 2021
  • Rolls Royce - 3 units, up from 1 unit in November 2021

Is there any particular reason as to why Audi only quotes its CBU sales and not the locally assembled ones?

BMW:

BMW India car sales in CY 2022 stood at 11,268 units making it their highest ever in the past 10 years.

EV leadership in Indian luxury car market:

Three German luxury car manufacturers in a neck-and-neck race in India in retail numbers of their electric vehicle sales in CY2022.

Approximately 663 electric luxury cars valued at around US$ 100 million (Rs 824 crore) were registered at the luxury end of the market last year. What has emerged is a neck-and-neck race for supremacy between Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi with just 20-40 units separating the three German luxury car rivals.

December 2022 sales numbers of Audi, BMW & Mercedes India
