Have Skoda Fabia bookings started?

hey rahuln, i believe they delayed the launch, so that they can launch the new fabia rather than launching the old one. the new fabia has been launched this year all over.

The hyderabad dealer has bookings for about 2500 cars and he expects to deliver these for a year after launch

what ??? the hyderbad dealer is still taking bookings ?? apparently the launch has been delayed. and he has taken 2500 bookings ??? for the fabia ???

are u sure its 2500????wat does that dealer plan to do with that 2500 bookings??looks like he will only sell fabia in the next few years and forget about octavia laura and superb

One of my relatives did the interiors of the showroom so when he enquired about the fabia they said it will be launched by the year end and they already have 2500 bookings from existing skoda customers each of whom paid an advance of 50k.

Yep there is news in today's Pune Sakal....the Fabia will be out by this year end....will be in Petrol and Diesel with price range 4.5 to 6.5L

Have not heard anything more preposterous than this. So the dealer found 2500 fools who paid 50k for unknown entity?? hard to believe.

To me this seems like dealer BS...

If thats the pirce its bound to do well, but looking at the interiors pic which tushky posted the interiors look quite spartan.

2500 bookings = 12 crore 50 lac rupees in just booking by one dealer for a car which is being launched since two years, how much for a skoda dealership

Then they better deliver all those cars now itself and forget the launch dish dash in that particular dealership!

I am sure almost every other Skoda dealerships would be claiming similar numbers.

Hey whats going on 7 - 8 lakhs are the kidding me

What happened to their Fabia-ulous pricing

i read this in autocar india mag april 2007

at a recent international dealer confrence in the czech republic, skodas indian dealers have told the company its upcoming fabia hatchback should be priced around rs 5.5 - 6 lakh. Any higher and they feel it would be a tough sell, mainly due to stiff competition from the maruti swift ( particularly its diesel version ) and the hyndia getz to a lesser extent.

i think the car that is being sold for the already skoda customers is the high end fabia with the entire package. i wonder what those are.

offtopic - they also said the laura will be 3 lakhs lesser.

i guess it just isnt time yet.
