360 degree camera turns on automatically only if the car speed is about 10-15 kmph (could be 20 kmph but definitely not more) as per my short test drive experience of Hector. The camera cannot be activated manually if you are above the speed. I still like how Creta/Seltos/Alcazar has implemented 360 degree camera, which can be turned on manually by pressing physical button.

MG India has said that this update is delayed and no new ETA is available as they’ve discovered a “critical” issue before the rollout.

I noticed a few things which are not upto the mark.

Coming from Creta, I feel some of these are basic things:
1. The infotainment system. There is too much going on. With lack of a proper dashboard, sometimes not easy to operate. Specially while driving.
Did you get the new interface of the touch screen, which has come with the limited edition?

I got a 2021 Hector from 2017 Creta. Mine comes with Wired carplay only so I got one of those dongles. Now when I turn on the car, it automatically launches carplay. I don't run radio so not sure about the switching thing but none of the other issues are prominent with this setup.

Re: 2023 MG Hector Facelift : A Close Look

Does anyone knows how to re-activate the I-smart subscription?

It was available in My MG app but now it's not available.

Mine is a 2023 Hector.

Thanks!

Re: 2023 MG Hector Facelift : A Close Look

MG service centers can quote 3-4 times the normal service charges by adding unnecessary Value added services.

I found these helpful pages from MG Hector Service Manual, so people don't get ripped off.

Re: 2023 MG Hector Facelift : A Close Look

Got a new software update today, there were no specific changes listed, it bumped the software version to 9.04 from 9.01, haven't seen any visual changes. Have installed and parked the car, will report if I end up seeing any changes. The size of update was around 123 MB.

No changes in the update.

Maybe it was a routine software update that's it.

Re: 2023 MG Hector Facelift : A Close Look

I am asking the obvious question here, ‘kitna mileage deti hai?’ I would like to know the city mileage of CvT petrol. My average run is in not so heavy city traffic.

It all depends on your driving style. I get somewhere between 8-9km/l in Pune traffic (which is worst traffic in India). I haven't got below 7km/l yet.

Yet to have 2nd free service, hoping the mileage would somewhat increase after 3rd service (after oil change).

Hi, would this interfere with the curtain airbag setup? Thanks.

Re: 2023 MG Hector Facelift : A Close Look

Hi,

I purchased Hector Plus 2 weeks back. One problem I'm facing is the constant beep for speeds above 80km and the display constantly shows 80km warning and there seems to be no way to turn it off or acknowledge it, unless the speed goes below 80. This is a big nuisance on expressways.

I know in the old Hector pressing Ok button used to acknowledge and turn it off but that doesn't seem to work in the latest version.

Is there a way to acknowledge and stop the above-80 beeps ?
