Some Grande Punto pics I have ...
Looks fantabulous in Red. Common Fiat launch it!
How come any cars designed by Fiat looks fabulous in Red? Is that because of the inputs from the Ferrari design team?lol:
So I heard that the Grande Punto will be launched by April , why don't we start speculating ,swearing, cursing already ? atleast Fiat won't keep us waiting as long as they did with the Linea.
The biggest competition in my opinion to this Car will be i20,Swift and the Jazz.

Any more information about GP? atleast engine specs will be very much appreciated here :)
Saw a camouflaged GP on the NDA Pashan rd today afternoon. It was coming in the opposite direction hence was too quick for me to catch a snap.
The body of the car was decorated in white/black stripes (similar to Linea earlier).
It seems Fiat's real busy here in India this year...

Saw two Grande Puntos near Magarpatta, hadapsar area while going to office. Couldnt get pics as didnt have camera/phone handy. But saw the car very close by whilst standing by signal and also got down from my car and peeked at the dashboard. Driver was surprisingly kind enough to lower the window and show ( I thought he would shoo me away :)
Observations:
I had driven GP in UK and this GP had almost same dimension. Not sure if they will cut the length. The dashboard looks smashing and interiors are also on same lines.
Not sure when this will be launched but looks a strong contender in its segment.
Going by the sightings of test mules, I think April-May launch looks probable. :)
I saw one in Kothrud, Pune yesterday, heading towards Chandani Chauk. Hope they launch it in a month's time or so! :)

On 18 Jan, I saw 3 Fiat Lineas and 2 Grande Puntos (test cars) near Khadki, Pune.

FIAT is hanging the carrot (GP) way up in the air, we can see it and let our mouths water, drool but cannot reach it as yet ! Good strategy though.:D

Exactly my words. I saw the camouflaged duo near Wanorie McDonalds (almost the same place where I saw Linea in a similar paintjob). Sighting Fiat test cards in Pune has become a pretty easy job it seems. :)

This is hot, right from the oven...just saw two GPs few hours back, again on the NDA Pashan Rd.
This time got some snaps.
Had a peek at the interiors. The instrument panel is quite similar to the Linea. However, manual AC buttons seemed flimsy. Guess this is the base version on test. However, dashboard was two tone (black/beige).
WOW! this is lovely :)
any idea about the engine? was it a diesel or petrol?
