I too second that. The rear bumper offset in spied punto is substantially less in angle and protrusion and a small visible difference which can be easily identified between the two.

The black one is Eoropean one and the one in white is the spied one.

The 4 m limit is like a holy grail for small car manufacturers. I'm glad Fiat took the initiative (or seems to have) to reduce the length of the GP to within the 4 m barrier.
Were you able to spot any differences in the front bumper as well?

Good catch Shine! The bumper has been changed quite a bit actually. Even the rear hatch has less bulk than the euro GP. The hatch looks totally flat, just like an Indica. Have a look at the corners of the rear bumper here :-

The trimmed bumper also means that the Punto will be priced very keenly.

Probably you are right. Its just not fair to compare the final product to a spy pic. But, the spy pics do give us a fair idea of the car's overall design. The car's rear profile has lost some of the chunkiness due to the tinkering done on the bumper and hatch door, probably the only reason why many of us thought there was something missing on the indian GP. In any case, its still a beautiful car.

On the i20, it is flashy, but definitely not over the top. I think it has good road presence. From the spy pics in India, the front grill is body coloured, which makes it look better and less flashy than the ones sold elsewhere with a chrome grill. Something like the blue one here

As far as looks are concerned, I have to say GP is miles ahead of i20 (this coming from a definitive i20 buyer!). GP is just beautiful, stuff of dreams. i20 does not appear to exude any definite character. Its more like bits and pieces of Peugoet 207,Swift,i10 etc.

I just hate it that GP is from Fiat, a company that does not have same commitment to Indian market and Indian buyer as Hyundai has.

Roms: The comparison what you have made is b/w a three and a five door GP, I guess thats the difference in the bumper there.

I would vouch for the GP any-day and we all know the fact that the testimony of Fiat's survival is credited to GP, so it should be a car worth every penny.

I haven't seen the i20 nor the GP in real
