I agree with you. Innova also has vents for all the three rows.

I found Scorpio's AC were much better than my present one. It has Dual AC and Vent. Any Scorpio owners feedback? I found Safari GX has several larger vents - But I am not sure about its capability.

BTW, why not this go as a Poll? Mods?

In the small car segment, I was impressed with Tata Indica's A/C, although I heard my uncle complain that switching on his powerful A/C really taps into the engine power and pickup

In mid-size I found the Renault Logan 1.6's A/C to be damn powerful

the bolero has got the best AC in MUVs.

between the scorpio, innova & safari, the innova tops followed by the scorpio followed by the safari. innova has huge vents with superb throw of air but the only grouse is that it's huge windshield exposes the front passenger & driver to a lot of UV rays. the scorpio is very chilling with most of the times, fan speed 1-LO being sufficient. the only disadvantage is that it has got no AC vents for the third row.

Mr. Bean,
I can understand your situation, I also have a carbed Esteem and its AC sucks big time. And it gets worse if you are stuck in traffic.

How much did the new compressor cost you? I am planning to revamp my cars AC.

Cheers

Finally someone agrees with the problem. I got a brand new subros compressor for 9500/-. Add some tax if you want the bill, but it does not make sense since subros does not provide warranty on the compressor but they are responsible for their installation.

Compressor - 9500
Gas filling - 950/-
Labour, checking, cleaning the system - 550.

Total - 11000/-

All the work was done by authorized subros service, you can visit the subros website to get your dealer contact. You could save close to 4k by avoiding MASS.

Do you have a windshield sun-film on your car? Will that help, I got mixed response on sun-film increasing the effect of the AC?
Is there a way I can fix in an big AC or an air-cooler in my car? I am sounding a lot stupid, but this humidity is sapping my energy.

The best A/C in C segment sedans goes to Hyundai verna. It is simply the best IMHO.

I agree. The AC is a chiller. Auto AC on the Sx model is very comfortable.

I think there is a link between reserve engine power and cooling. If the engine is not stressed the AC cooling delivers.

But has this new compressor helped in cooling the car better? In my car I feel that if the fan speed is increased someway it would help. The cooling is fine its just that the fan speed is way too low as compared to other cars.

I will do some fact finding about the new compressor.

Cheers

any idea what is the compressor capacity of palio 1.2L (2002 model)?

. Zen A/C is pathetic!
