58 lakhs for a 530d that is a bit steep! I thought it was 52-53 lakhs on road. Can someone mention all the ex-showroom prices

530D Beamer is know more of a mosnter with that torque

With the Diesel engine, driving dynamics, Future technlogies, I drive and Power which can give the sports cars run for their money, "The Beamer is a clear winner in all aspects"

With already 54% market share this German is on a killing move, wants to lead all the way from its home rivals

520 D Luxury at affordable price
530 D Luxurious Missile

Guys, What Nishant Gandhi drove was the 530d Highline. the infrared/nightvision camera is only on the 530d Highline, when it comes to diesel, dunno about petrol variant.

Hi Tuner, thanks a lot.

About the Service Package, not opted for one yet, yesterday just gave the booking amt, but will think of it in the next few days. I can take this at hte time of delivery too.

2 options both for 5 years:
1. 60,000 kms - Rs.1,60,000
2. 1,00,000 kms - Rs.2,50,000 or something like that.

Now i am not so sure wether i should go for this or not.
Negatives about this :
- Will not cover Oil Top ups! only covers complete oil change. So if the car says oil is good, only top up, then i still gotta pay more.

- Doesnt cover tyres.
- if i calculate, its turns out to be too too expensive. i doubt i would have service repairs that big! (only covers general service parts - oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter, Brake discs, Brake Pads, etc.)

On my enquiry yesterday, the first actual "service" of the car is only at 60,000 kms! and that will be a bill of around 50k, he said. So this will be covered in the package. Till 60,000 kms it will only be oil topups/oil changes and if Brakes need cleaning/replacing.

So i thoguht on this i will talk to Sahil here as he has got 2 5 series diesel with him, so he must be able to give me a clear indication and advise as to wether to opt it or just pay for the services as it comes.

PS: SAHIL, if u reading this, please PM me your no. need some advise from u, dude!

I'd been wondering if the package is really worth it. From the math you've done, i dont think its going to be worth it. Of course, unless somethin packs up unexpectedly. The biggest expense will be those tyre changes. A set of four will really set you back. Talking to a few owners will give you the best idea i guess. If Sahil owns 2, you chose the right person .

Tuner, the thing is, this package is only for the "SERVICE" part, not an "Extended Warrant" wherein if something goes kaput, it will be replaced free for 5 years! thats what bothering me. Yea, will be talking to Sahil in a day or 2 and clear some doubts!

But i dont own 2 as yet ! Just one for now, the 2nd one is still in the pipeline.. had booked the 525d but am now in a fix !

@Insane Devil: I had done the math on the service pack in another thread but can't remember which one !
Btw, the Warranty is also extended under this service pack. Read the BSI+R brochure carefully, including the fine prints.

Haha! Now you've got something on your hands. A decision to make! Try 530d Highline?
